Listen up, you lazy good-for-nothings! From now on, you’re going to start earning your keep around here? Do you hear me? I mean it! Stop laughing, I’m serious.

Hurray for klaatu42, best pet-dubber around! Love this guy and his vids.
Agreed! I don’t know how he does it.
I love him. He has the same sort of genius as NOMTOM.
Exactly. Another man who should leave his brain to science. Although it would give Future People an inflated idea of Today People’s mental acuity.
He’s brilliant – as are his furry companions – much laughter ensued.
Murray C, I believe he actually scours the Internet for good animal clips, then contacts the poster to get permission to dub. That’s what he used to do for his great animal holiday singalongs, anyway.
That makes sense. I did wonder that he had so many animals living with him.
All hail the return of Klaatu42!
WhaaaaT? Do you know how much work it takes to be cutes 24/7???? And now you wants us to do chores????
Is not being a bed warmer enough? How about walkies (more for the human than dog)? Re-decorating takes skills, people!
My 5 cats are ardent house redecorators! They do their best every day to turn my hard wood floors into a multicoloured fur carpet!
My two have practically re-made the upholstered furniture!
Mine add in some pools of puke for that special lived-in look.
Totally off topic, but I wish to announce that I Magic bulleted celery, cucumber (both of which I loathe), cabbage and tomato juice, and I am now drinking a five-servings-of-veggies slush! It’s actually not that bad! I think it might make a tasty soup! Here’s to bettering myself!
Duckie, you’re braver than I ever could be. I feel very strongly about certain veggies and about the thought of pureeing them.
Sounds yummy to me. I like V-8, so it’s not far off. And there are very few things I don’t like – mostly the context has to be right. e.g. I like coconut in candy or cake but hate it in granola. And if I am anywhere that someone is wearing coconut scented body lotion or sunscreen I have to move.
But good for you, Duckie. I’m experimenting with smoothies using my immersion blender instead of lugging out my regular (50 year old) blender. So far so good.
Ugh, I hate coconut scented stuff.
On a related note, we had our monthly “all hands on deck” meeting today and the HR-topics portion included a reminder that we would be switching from air conditioning to heat soon and please be mindful of scents that you bring in (like air fresheners in an office) or wear. I can’t help but wonder if someone complained about my coworker (who sits behind me) who sprays body spray in her cubicle just about every day. She’s the type who gets all offended if someone has a problem with it (because someone in the next row near where she used to sit was bothered by it and mentioned it, and then months later when I moved back to my current department (I had switched departments a few years earlier) somehow it came up and she got all worked up about this person (who I love) not liking her perfume. So I didn’t say anything at the time…but then I didn’t realize just how much she sprays the stuff (on top of what she’s wearing already…I guess she feels the need to replenish after her lunchtime walk…). I want to gag every time she stands right near my cubicle.
Her current scent is vanilla-coconut. ?
Unfortunately it did not stay down.
Oh o! Up might be better than out!
I love veggies generally, but I’m afraid that particular blend might not stay down in me either. But then I don’t care for juices unless they’ve been fermented, aged, and and I can buy them at my local liquor store. 🙂
Maybe start small? If you’re not a veggie fan, there are some cookbooks devoted to sneaking vegetables into foods so cleverly disguised that kids won’t know they’re eating food that’s “good for them.” Perhaps that would help?
I like the way you think! I’m partial to distilled potato juice mixed with soda and a squeeze of lime, myself.
I see what you did there.
…and what I might be doing tonight.. 😉
?
Good for you! Since I’m trying to cut down on calories but hate to deny myself I’ve been using my Magic Bullet to make my own version of chocolate milk with Unsweetened Silk Almond (30 cal. per cup) Pure Cocoa powder (10 cal. per tbsp) and Equal 0 cal.
Now I know some people will object to Equal but my doctor says it’s OK in moderation since I have Type 2 diabetes and loves sweet stuff.
I make my own chocolate syrup sometimes. I use sugar in the raw but I wonder if it would work with a sugar substitute…
[It’s sugar, cocoa, and water; bring it to a boil (I let it cook for a minute or two), remove from the heat, add a teaspoon of vanilla extract. The recipe I use makes about two cups (I may have posted it in the past and I can dig it out if anyone wants it, but there are a ton of them if you just google it. I tried two different ones and ended up using the proportions of the second with the cooking instructions of the first in subsequent batches). I use Hershey’s Special Dark cocoa, usually. (Though regular Hershey’s cocoa and white sugar tastes more like real Hershey’s syrup.) And now I think I know what I’m doing this weekend…]
I ordered more parsley. Eating big portion of it sautéed in evoo folded into ww pasta made the pain in my hands go away!
I don’t juice. I’d rather just eat raw veggies in salad or cooked in evoo with pepper and garlic. I eat pea pods, shredded carrots, cauliflower and garbanzos with iceberg lettuce in light ranch.
I also roast cubes of sweet potatoes or tiny red potatoes in the oven. Sage on the sweet potatoes Rosemary and thyme on red. Evoo garlic and pepper on everything else. I’m big on broccoli too.
My animals would create a shag carpet if I didn’t vacuum or pick up fur every day!
I wish I had a doggie who would lick my window clean 🙂
