Dear Diary: Today I take an important next step in my transition from feline to chicken — brooding an actual egg. Although I know this egg will not hatch, this is still a key milestone in the act of becoming my true self. To feel the smoothness of the shell beneath me, its delicate wall protecting the theoretical life within — all my life I have yearned for this moment, afraid to take that first step into the chicken world. But if I may use a metaphor that my future self might find inappropriate, you can’t make an omelet without…
I hope he can still see the sunny side of things, Sharon H.
I just love how they look at what just happened with the attitude of, “Well, who did that?!”
If this was taken after 30 seconds, the artist formerly known as cat may very well not remember what had happened: https://www.livescience.com/58602-do-cats-dogs-have-long-term-memories.html
There are shoes for that, too!
Allein, where are those shoes from?!?!
http://www.hotchocolatedesign.com
They have all kinds of “mismatched” shoes (and some matching tote bags). Someone in a book-related group on facebook posted the ones she just got – the right shoe is the old-school black-and-white composition book cover and the left is the lined white paper with a red margin line down the side. I posted the strawberry shoes in the National Strawberry Day post last night.
They’re a little pricey, but apparently if you sign up for emails they’ll let you know when they have sales and whatnot.
Those are awesome.
HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS SHOE COMPANY!!!!!!!!!
I just learned about them the other day.
DED. DED. DED.
Omgosh. At this point in my life I have old lady feet that hurt. But I could wear these to walk into Starbucks and sit around looking awesomely weird.
Hmmmm. Which pair? Going to loook!
If you hadn’t egged him on this wouldn’t have happened.
Good one!
Gravity Technitian: Did you try turning it off then on? Cat: Yes.
