Can You Press Meowzzanine?

Meet a clever cat whose life has lots of ups and downs. That’s because his daily patrol includes a trip on the elevator in his building. The handsome white cat — we’ll call him Otis — waits patiently at the elevator door, knows which floor he wants, and even enjoys some head scritchies on the way down.

This just floored me, Paul P.

And went to the back when s/he got on and moved to the front when the elevator was getting to the right floor!

If I were a cat, I’d find elevators really disorienting. (They’re disorienting to me as a hoomin.)

Yes, Otis is an excellent name for an elevator cat.

And judging by the rear view–that’s a HE.

In Europe, we often came across Schindler as the elevator manufacturer. Yes, that’s right- Schindler’s Lifts.

        NO!
When I lived in San Francisco I worked next to a one story building that had what was left of painted signage on the side that read “Trinidad Bean and Elevator Company”. That’s always been a puzzle to me.

There must be a tuna packing plant on that floor. Tuna and boxes. Tuna Is Us, Inc.
