Great Moments in Evolution

In the lush lavender-covered lowlands of the Swiss countryside, the native species of wild feline known as the Flüfenpüssen has adaptations that help it thrive among both the frigid snows of winter and the tall flowers of summer: A lush insulating coat of floof and tall stilt-like legs.

Look at the craftsmanship on those legs. Clearly this is intelligently designed.

Make sure you’ve got your Allen wrench!

Now why didn’t I think of that! You’re a clever “Gel” as the Brits would say. (hard “G”)

Nah, its simply natural selection. Unless it has the speed afforded by the stilt mutation, a cat with this level of floofage will be snatched by its natural predator, catladius insanus. Said feline will immediately by removed from the gene pool via sterilization, loved, squeezed, and called George.

You have made my day. Possibly several days.

Side note, our first cat was called George.
Well, his official name was George. He was mostly called Kitty.
He wasn’t much for squeezing, though.

Flufenpussen is right! Mike you should apply to whatever scientific body decides on the names for newly discovered species – I don’t think they could do better than you!

This looks photoshopped. I really hope it’s just a really, really, really fluffy cat!!

The cat’s expression is a cry for help, suffocating under its coat like a sheep that’s not been sheared for years.

I don’t know much about the many breeds of cats but is this cat supposed to look like this? Or is it a fat cat? It’s fur is pretty but its also somewhat odd looking, to me. Leave it to Mike, to cleverly describe and scientifically name it.

I desperately want to see this cat after a bath! That’s the quickest way to answer the fat or fluff question. I bet he turns into tiny, wet bag of bones.

catladius insanus! Hahahahaha! Removed from the gene pool! Much better euphemism than cut your nutts off.

      It’s a good thing everyone left already… ? ?

        At your service. Or not.

It’s like cloud came and swallowed kitty like a python… 😮

What a poetic (and spot-on) description, Sugitomo!

A Flüfenpüssen once bit my sister…

Suggestive poses for the Flüfenpüssen suggested by NTMTOM.

I suppose she deserved it, seeing as she was Karving her initials into it with the sharpened end of an interspace toothbrush…

Is there a real, normal püssen inside that hill of flüfen?? It looks more like an ornamental head on top of a large, luxury blanket to me… Just imagine what all that flüfen can do to your favorite chair/sofa… I feel a giant sneeze coming on.
