And finally: Fi-yawn-a
The Divine Miss F is ready for her nap. (via Andrew Y.)
Looks like Fiona is ready for a nap. Hippos are nocturnal and sleep most the day. #teamfiona 😴💤 pic.twitter.com/4WaDseFNDO

Fabulous links today, NTMTOM! Very uplifting!
It’s so hot here I wish I could share Fiona’s pool, I think Boo might even join us!
(p.s. don’t worry he often sleeps this way)
Bootiful!
Me, too, Fiona. Me, too.
And me.
Even her yawns are cute.
ohmygoodness
Sometimes the only thing that keeps me going is the way hippos wiggle their ears…
Fantastic links.
Yes, indeed – especially love William the kitty and the fox and the hedgie – there’s a children’s book there, I believe. Or there may already be one, for all I know! And Gorillas! How wonderful are they! And Fiona, and…..aw, heck, I just love ’em all.
According to the ancient Greek poet Archilochus, a fox knows many things, but a hedgehog one important thing (πόλλ’ οἶδ’ ἀλώπηξ, ἀλλ’ ἐχῖνος ἓν μέγα).
In both cases, it’s where the food at.
Love these links! Sweet William the kitkit and Milli the pup are so lucky.
Everybody dealing with high temps, please take care of yourselves. Hopefully things will cool down for you soon.
I got to visit Fiona again last week! She was sleeping both times we went past her pool. It’s so cool how hippos can sleep underwater and come up to breath without waking up.
