I saw a similar blue boot recently on a seagull at our local wild bird refuge; it was some sort of cast, or bandage, for an injury. It’s amazing how far veterinary medicine has come! There were three gulls there, all brown with an interesting pattern. I’ve never seen brown gulls before.
