Today’s lesson is tree-climbing, and this patient and devoted mama raccoon has her hands — and mouth — full trying to teach junior how to get a grip. At last the little one gets the hang of it, and mama’s “I need a drink” expression at the end tells us all we need to know.
Brilliant find from sender-inner Julie!
But mom, it’s so high!!!
Her expression reminds me of how I felt trying to teach my kids to ride a bike. Long-suffering doesn’t even begin to cover it!
But I donn wanna mamma. The first climb is the highest.
Watching this made me nervous, I almost had to stop. I was afraid of the bebeh falling off the roof or the mom dropping it, trying to get it clinging to the tree. I get this way watching mommy birds feeding their young, at our bird feeders. I enjoy it but I worry for them.
“Come on son, grab on!!!!!!!”
*sigh*
Phew! I’m exhausted just watching that!
Youngung always resist lessons and homework.
Young’uns.
Hahahahaha. Raccoon homework.
…and that’s why raccoons get drunk on fermented crabapples…
Bless him, he got it eventually. I just hope he doesn’t get over-confident and try to climb a 25 floor building…
Ooh, I wonder whatever happened to that little rascal after she was released!!
Maybe she’s the mama here – “I climbed a skyscraper; you can climb a little old tree!”
