With your ghostly guest linkmaster, former WQTE late-night horror host Flurnston Boils
Welcome to Halloween, boys and ghouls. Today we greet our little friends from the spirit world, moaning and rattling their chains. And since you can’t have chains without links, let’s begin with these spooky items gathered from across the Internetherworld:

Sleeping puppies in costume! A conceptual breakthrough in Teh Cute! And the headless chicken monster is beautiful!
The Headless Chicken Monster deserves its own animated series!
I could use an automatic back scratcher…it’s that time of year when my skin dries up and I turn into a ball of itches I can’t quite reach.
Pomington Bear is too cute.
Too many pictures; will have to catch up later.
Most of me doesn’t dry up, but my hands can go from fine to bleeding in about a workday.
My legs and lower back get really bad in the winter. I think the latter at least in part because my back spends more time facing the shower spray than the rest of me. I use lotion year round but in the winter I tend to switch to a thicker cream. My hands get really dry, too; I keep Neutrogena Norwegian Formula hand cream at my desk. And when the heat came on at work a few weeks ago I felt like all the moisture was suddenly sucked out of my face, and my face is not normally particularly dry. I actually picked up a little travel-size Cetaphil lotion last week to bring to work (because I can’t use the hand cream on my face).
Best thing I found for winter dry skin itches, .. baby oil applied straight after a bath or shower when the skin is still wet, let it soak in for a few minutes before drying off. They even have now some lotion products you apply while still in the shower, haven’t tried those so not sure how well they work. Easy way to cover your back is to use a sponge on a stick or a new trick I just learned – a paint roller! I may have to see how that works.
I use baby oil sometimes; I have a small bottle in my closet. Year before last I got Vaseline Intensive Care cream that comes in a tub, which I liked, but last year I couldn’t find it so I tried Nivea cream, which is almost too thick. But it comes in a huge jar so I have plenty left; I’ll try to use it up this winter.
I’ve heard jokes about certain people using a paint roller to apply their makeup but I never thought about it for lotion…that’s kind of genius.
I love Gold Bond Diabetic Care – it’s unscented and it really lasts without being greasy (Ok, that sounds like a commercial, but it’s true!).
Spooky sun! 🙂 https://www.nasa.gov/content/goddard/sdo-jack-o-lantern-sun
That is too cool!! I thought for a minute it was photoshopped then I read the explanation about sun flares.
Right?! 🙂
Mike, you’ve outdone yourself today. This is the bestest link collection ever.
Such cute links today, loving all the costume ideas. Almost makes me want to go get another dog so I have a partner in crime next Halloween. Ooh, new business idea, rent a dog for people who want to do a combo costume but don’t have a dog. Maybe not, too many logistical issues and too many weirdos out there that might take advantage of the animals.
Can’t wait to see how many kiddos we get tonight, should be fun! Have a spooktacular day everyone!
And in completely unrelated news,
the CDC says that it’s ok to dress your chickens in Halloween costumes/

The jeweled feather crown is FABULOUS darling!
I loved the suggested costume ideas: Chick Jagger!
BTW,
LOVE the new banner.
