Rescued otter hits milestone at Oregon Zoo home
Lincoln, the adorable orphaned otter, celebrates another milestone: his first year as part of the otter family at the Oregon Zoo. Found as a stray pup in Morro Bay Harbor on the California coast, “sea otter 805,” as he was classified, got his new home — and new name — in December 2017.
The good news comes shortly after zoo staff celebrated Lincoln’s estimated first birthday last October with a special frozen shrimp cake.

Yay for Lincoln!
The squeaking! The calling! The cuteness is almost too much!
Otter squeaks are a great way to start Monday.
I was feeling a little down yesterday, so I went online and randomly searched for cute things. In the course of my surfing, I re-discovered Sylvanian Families/Calico Critters. I was stunned at how many animals had been turned into these adorable little animal families (no wombats, though). They even had an otter family! Meerkats, effalunts, hippos, hedgehogs, guinea pigs, mice, squirrels, hamsters…oh, the list goes on!
I want that job, playing with … oops I meant help/ training, rescued otters or other animals that need loving ….oops, again I meant help/ training.
The crunching on ice! And I loved watching him run on land! Eeeeeeeee!
That was deadly cute. I was sure somebody animated a plushy–baby Lincoln was too cute to be real.
Sadly, I too can use my belly as a serving tray.
In the first video when she spins him…! He seemed to be really enjoying it.
