Can this service dog learn to walk on air?
Service dogs in training need to learn many special skills. This clever but cautious dog named Hope must think she’s about to learn levitation. Her trainer walks on the air with the greatest of ease, but Hope needs a little more time, if you please.
But it doesn’t take long for Hope to get the hang of it.
So sweet – I got misty-eyed.
I love how the sweet doggy tries to stay over the beam at first, he’s thinking “I don’t know how you’re floating in the air but I’m staying safe on this solid beam”
She’s very smart. I would only walk over the beam myself.
That ‘eureka’ moment when she steps onto the glass! A lot of bravery on her part and patience on her trainer’s.
The future owner better hope they never run into any open pits with crossbeams in them, or doggie leads them booth to their doom.
The perils of fuzzy close-up vision.
Good call, wonder if they though about that?
Who’s a good girl? YOU’re a good girl!
My reaction to the glass floor at the top of Blackpool Tower was the same as this dog’s!
This is… oh my… soOo sweet!
I wouldn’t walk on that either!
Beam walking innate behavior. Amazing.
But i agree if dog encounters no glass in future not good.
What a magical moment! It takes a brave pup to take those first steps of faith where there appears to be nothing there. It reminds me of way back when our previous dog Lucky was still a puppy, and he was learning to go down the stairs. Took a lot of encouraging the first few times, but he got the hang of it eventually!
I love how every time Hope took a step in the right direction, even a little one, she got a treat for it. And how, even at the end of the first video, when she seemed to be getting it, she was still avoiding that center panel of the glass as if there was nothing there. 😛
