Otters and more otters, plus mayor goat, comforting cat, and the strangest parrot on Earth.
And finally: We’re Not Outta Otters
As if Valkyrie and her four pups weren’t enough, the Georgia Aquarium welcomes Gibson and Mara, two otter pups rescued from the California coast earlier this year. More details at AJC. (via Murray C. and Andrew Y.)

I LOVE the giant animal illustrations. If only! The cat who couldn’t grow past kitten size is so sweet. Cuddling with all the other hurt rescue cats is so touching.
I’d go see that opera…
There’s got to be a Ring Cycle joke in here. If I come up with something I’ll let you know; busy day here at work.
Kakapos are the best!
Those otter pups were unotterably cute! The zoo is right–they’re the floofiest I’ve ever seen. I just want to bury my face in their necks and blow raspberries.
I want the keepers job, especially flying them to the acquarium.
Kakapo males can also be a bit out-of-control randy, thus producing one of the most bizarre bits from “Last Chance to See.”
(Hello, Cutetropolitans. I’m a long-time lurker. It figures that I’d unlurk to post the “shagged by a rare parrot” video.)
Also posted on Weekend Open Thread this morning. What a great, great video.
Pleased to meet you, Limner Marsh!
