Cats, in their wisdom, understand that humans don’t always see things as clearly as they should. This cat, for example, knows that eyeglasses make humans focus their attention where it doesn’t belong — which is to say, not on them. So kitty turns those glasses into cheap knockoffs, putting the human in a cuddly frame of mind.
Oh how I love kitty cuddlefaces!
What we have here is a failure to communicate. (Also, pay no attention to any other cat.)
That is so sweet. Glass interfere with snuggling. Glass must be removed for optimal snuggling potential.
Cats WILL make passes at girls that wear glasses!
Jackson Galaxy uses his glasses to say hello to new cats.
I see nothing untoward here. đ
I only wish my cat were so considerate. She goes straight for the face rub without removing the glasses first, pushing them painfully into my nose. While blissfully purring, of course.
Demanding little cuss ain’t s/he?? But totally adorable.
Off topic, but I just turned to September in the calendar – the Graybird of Grumpiness! Yessss! What a perfect expression! It pays not to look ahead when you first get the calendar.
I agree! I loved the post and the picture. And I think someone referenced the bird in a previous post. Maybe the one about Duckie’s new friend Duckie??
That was me. I turned to September early because of the big company party in a few weeks. Plus my birthday!
I knew it was coming (had to put my vacation time on there recently) but was still excited. đ
Well, they are rather large glasses to be fair. I am somewhat used to the size of glasses now but the first time I saw them on someone (a very teeny woman) I thought they were joke glasses. I am so absolutely non-trendy. âšī¸
I have the dark (tortoiseshell) frames but they’re not that big. Some of the ones I tried on, I could feel them sitting on my cheeks. It annoyed me just for the minute or two I had them on. Couldn’t imagine wearing them all day (I actually had to exchange the sunglasses I got at the same time because of that; didn’t realize quite how bad they were until I was wearing them for a bit).
Clearly some of you young’uns were not around when glasses that size were the norm.
Cheap knockoffs – wow.
