it’s the same old story told over and over: You bring one cat into your life, who charms you and becomes the center of your world, so you get another, and another, and soon you’re one of those crazy cat people. Now replace “cat” with “wombat” and you’ll have the heartwarming story of Lindy and her mission to rescue orphan wombats. (via Murray C.)

I was expecting a wombat and got a video thumbnail of a pink jelly bean with whiskers. What the heck?
The part where the young wombat is running in slow motion reduced me to a pile of goo.
Sounds like a wonderful life. I imagine part of the reason she keeps at it is that new babies somewhat replace, emotionally, the ones she released into the wild.
Are you familiar with Kitten Lady’s videos? (She has a YouTube channel, as well as other social media outlets). She talks in at least one of them about how much she really loves kittens, and by fostering them and then adopting them out to good forever homes, she keeps getting more kittens to love. She does have some full grown cats of her own, but she gets a constant supply of kitten “fix.”

Thanks. Now that’s a great career!
Beyond cute!!!
I volunteer to become a crazy wombat lady! (haven’t actually watched the video yet, but I know it’s the right choice for me)
I’m sure you’re right!
How are you feeling today? Fully recovered from your jab?
Oh, thanks for asking! I started to feel a bit better before Monday was fully over, and Tuesday morning I woke up feeling like a whole new woman! I still feel great.
I have to say, I feel I got off lightly. Monday wasn’t great, but it was tolerable, especially since I had the freedom to spend most of the day in bed.
I hope anyone here facing a second jab has no worse side effects than mine. One day mostly resting in bed is nothing compared to COVID-19.
I can see how it would be very easy to become a “crazy wombat lady”. Such a cute pink bean and practically born with murder claws.
Sylvie has knocked me out. What a cutie! And what a wonderful lady.
