The Adventures of Sam Spayed

As I left the crime scene, my keen survival instincts told me that I was not alone. There was a sinister presence just behind me, tracking my every move. Sure enough, someone put a tail on me — and if I was going to shake him, I’d have to get tough.

That tail does look pretty out of control.

It looks like the last few inches of tail belong to another cat.

That is pretty much my mood right now, just came back from taking my husband to the hospital emergency with 101.4 fever from a probable bladder infection … again!
They’ll probably send him to the clinic next door that is affiliated with the hospital like they did last time, he tried to get an appointment there yesterday but couldn’t get through the line was always busy.

I’m mad because he knows he has a kidney stone in his bladder, it’s been bothering him on and off for months and they called him last week to give him an appointment for an exploratory exam with a camera and he refused because he didn’t feel it when they called!
Sometimes I could just strangle that man!

I sympathize. It’s upsetting enough that he’s in pain. I’ve had kidney stones so his refusal to deal with the significant pain/problem is totally mysterious and must add a level of frustration for you.

Men are their own worst enemies sometimes. I actually had to put a calendar event on my phone then invite hubby to that event just so he could remember to take his meds each week. And this was after I told him when he complained about forgetting to take them, why don’t you make a recurring event on the calendar, he just kinda shrugged and said he’d get to it. AAARGHHHH! I feel your frustration Georgiana. Hope he feels better soon.

So sorry, both for his pain and for your frustration.

Reminds me of that possum meme:
summer lovin, it happened so fast
summer lovin, he scream at own ass

Edit: I know cats thrash their tails when irritated. Which, uh, seems like a bit of a quandary for this fellow.

That possum meme was my first thought too!

This was laugh out loud funny. Poor baby, he’s having a bad tail day. And it does seem like the tail has a mind of it’s own. So needed that laugh as I’m trying to juggle several major projects at work. From twiddling my thumbs to oh crap, how am I going to get all done on time. Good thing I’d rather be busy, makes the time go quicker.

I’ve often told my boss that my workflow is like the ice maker on my fridge: either none of the ice comes out, or all of the ice comes out. Sounds like you’ve got the same fridge.

Loved this funny kitkat. Imagine getting so angry at your own appendage!

I love Mike’s commentary, which is hysterical as always (as is BFB’s meme report). But the video itself makes me very sad. That poor cat is either under terrible stress or has a neurological condition causing it to behave that way. It’s not in any way normal behavior, and that cat should be seen by a vet. Poor baby.

      I agree. Kitteh seems distressed.

    • Debg April 19, 2021 / 9:15 pm

I hadn’t thought of that. Poor baby indeed.
