Judging by kitten’s expression and demeanor, hisses and scratches weren’t really his or her line. Snuggling seems more like it. In today’s job market I think Amalgamated Pain might have trouble finding staff.
Kitty may look sweet but I bet she’s got that calico attitude going on. Don’t care, I’d still risk hisses and scratches to give kisses and scritches. Plus a few gentle boops to that lovely nose.
My friend had a calico and she could be sweet but she’d turn on you at the drop of a hat.
I’ve heard that too. Loves up on you then bite you. My niece has one and she can be the strangest cat plus the ‘tude. She says the cat must have been dropped on her head when a kitten, lol. This cat licks walls, steals the water from the Keurig tank, you’ll find her anywhere and anywhere including in the sofabed. Never a dull moment at her house.
I had a beloved dilute calico, Felix Felicis, years ago. She wasn’t interested in cuddles most of the time. Then a switch would go off in her brain and she couldn’t stand to be more than 1 inch from me. She was also ferocious at hunting bed mice–I nearly lost toes on several occasions.
I miss her still.
Note to self: Do not let Scorpius see this! While he will sit in the same room with me, and even accept petpets when he’s not in his cave, he nearly always hisses when I come into his basement. It’s like he can’t remember who I am at first.
This sweetie doesn’t look hissy or scratchy at all.
