Happy Caturday, fellow Cutetropolitans! It’s time to sit back and relax with your beverage of choice, and it appears that today’s visitor has gotten an early start:
This is Nikolai Devinovich. He’s a Sagittarius. Supposedly a Sagittarius born on December 7 “has great wisdom & occult knowledge, which allows him or her to perceive life on many levels. They search for meaning and generally express their inner self via a creative outlet.”
Photo taken by Doug E., loyal Aries servant. Photo submitted by Sowmya D., unfortunate Aries purchaser of stuff that came in a Jameson liquor box.
This photograph has captured only one moment in what is likely to be an avant garde expression through dance of Nicolai Devinovich’s profound understanding of life. Bravo Nicolai!
Not a whisky drinker but if it comes with cats…
That’s too funny. Typical cat, totally contrary and also totally predictable. Anything on the counter must be whapped off the counter.
I love the “Oh.”
I saw another one where they gave the egg to the cat on the couch (wisely, they had a towel on the floor below it) and the cat sat on it.
Yeah, I didn’t hold out much hope for the egg’s continued existence.
This cat would flunk high school health class.
Handsome lil devil, and I agree with Dubravamcvmd that he looks like he’s at the start of an interpretative dance piece.
Quiet weekend here, doing some chores and getting a hair cut. Might check out a few thrift stores Been trying to find jeans and chinos/khakis that aren’t second-skin cling to every lumpy part skinny and that’s almost impossible. I thought that trend had finally died and I found out it’s back. Thank goodness for Ebay. Hope everyone has a lovely, relaxing weekend.
My interpretation of Nicolai’s dance is that he is expressing ire and annoyance of having been put in the wrong box. “Jamieson’s”??!! I think not. Nicolai is of Smirnoff box born.
I don’t know where the lady heard that but it most definitely doesn’t apply to cats but he is a beautiful little rascal anyway. LOL!
It’s going to be a quiet weekend, it’s rainy today and I feel really tired I didn’t get to sleep until 3:30 AM because of an allergic reaction but still got up at 7:30 as usual.
We had the wake for my husband’s mother on Thursday, she had made all the arrangement herself a long time ago but things had to be modified a bit because of Covid. The whole thing lasted only 3 hours, only 50 people were allowed in the funeral parlour at a time and everyone had to wear a mask at all times.
Also there wasn’t supposed to be any handshakes or hugs but that went out the window pretty quick so I am a little nervous about maybe getting sick since I have no idea if everyone was vaccinated altho I think most of them were. The internment will be at a latter date and my sister in law is keeping her mother’s ashes until then.
Have a good weekend everyone.
{{{hugs}}}
More hugs. And healing purrs from my kitties.
I’m so sorry for your loss.
Covid’s changed a lot of things, especially related to saying goodbye. Glad that you’re able to come to together to celebrate your MIL’s life.
Nikolai has some **magnificent** floofage. Would love to dive into that tummy face-first.
Have we heard from Kar about her mom? Or Emsthemonster? Sending out big hugs and soothing kitty purrs to you both.
I’m about to head out for my second shingles shot, among other errands. I’m also eligible for my COVID booster, but friends have advised me not to do both on the same day. Then I get to kick back and decide what to make! I’ve got a sweater from handspun almost finished, and a complicated cabled cardi from hand-dyed on the needles. I could warp my loom for its next project. I’m probably going to spin some very fine silk yarn. So many choices! Now that I finished weaving a complicated project for work, my brain wants to go through all the doors.
Hugs to you all.
Thank you for thinking of me, DebG. Hugs to you as well. I’m perfectly OK, just very busy.
My brother still annoys me – he clearly missed the queue where common sense was distributed and expects me to help him out of all the difficulties he gets himself into.
I’m also very much disappointed about my scales, I have explained a few times what numbers I would like to see, but scales tend to be obstinate and show a lot more. I’m a humble girl, I would be completely satisfied with lower numbers as well.
I also often think of Kar, I hope she is OK in this difficult situation.
I was watching My 600 Pound Life (I’m not proud of it, okay?) the other night and the guy said at one point the the scale wasn’t “working to its potential.” I find most scales are this way. They should really do better.
😆🤣
Oh geez, that’s a guilty pleasure for me too. Along with Hoarders.
There’s a live chat during the show on the website Primetimer…it’s not always nice but it’s fun.
Planetary Maintenance says to weigh yourself only on Tuesdays.
Thanks for the advice. At least it wouldn’t be an incessant warfare with the scales, just one session on Tuesdays 🙂
I’m glad your lesions have got smaller!
I never weigh myself. Either my clothes fit or they don’t.
Emsthemonster,
Sounds like your brother can’t spell Q. You’re a good person.
First of all, gentle feathered hugs to all who lost family members.
And now, a little good news: my lesions are definitely smaller!
Have a good weekend, everyone.
So glad to hear this. Hope they go away and you continue to get better.
Doing a happy dance for Duckie’s lesions getting smaller!!
Yay!
Terrific news! I was wondering about your situation while I waited for my shot.
Glad that your lesions are smaller and hope that you’re feeling better this weekend.
That’s wonderful!
Best news of the day!

Are they sniffing the humans? That’s so flattering!
It’s w I n d y here today! One of the cats is up in the front window, watching leaves fall. He seems to be at least as interested in leaves as birds.
I’m getting hit with a thunderstorm!
The little weather widget in computer’s task bar says “Rain coming”…it needs to catch up cuz the rain is here!
Georgiana, you must feel a bit of closure now even though I’m sure there will be sad moments. It was good to have a function that brought people together. That helps a lot.
I hope you stay well – hugs.
Hi Ems. Glad to hear you are doing ok.
And great news Duckie…do you have a best foot to put forward now? 😁
And Kar, if you are tuning in, hope all is well. Or at least as best as it can be with an emotionally difficult time as you are experiencing. 💕
Thank you, Dulcie.
Hi all, hope that everyone’s having a good weekend and staying warm.
Thank you all for your thoughts.
Mom must’ve hung on for me because the day after I left her in hospice, she more or less stopped speaking and being responsive. She died Thursday morning peacefully.
This is a wonderful community and I appreciate the ties through the miles of wire.
I’m so sorry, Kar. {{{morehugs}}}
I’m so sorry. Losing your mother is important. My mother died five years ago and it’s still an important event to me. I hope your grieving goes well.
So sorry, Kar. We’re sending lots of love from my house.
I’m so sorry for your loss. I hope you can set aside some time for self-care.
Kar. 💕🙏
