Although mumbling cats make great vocalists, that um-num-num sound is kittyspeak for “best stay the heck away, hooman, or I’ll show you what these claws are for!” So be warned: If you mess with the mumble, get ready to rumble.

I had forgotten cats make that sound. I am astonished that a human would extend a hand toward such a seriously angry, threatened cat. In a flash you could have a cat with teeth and claws embedded in your flesh. I find that sound a very effective warning.
I’ve awakened to a cat’s teeth embedded in my arm (he either got scared by thunder or had a seizure). It was no fun… swelled up to twice the size, couldn’t open or close my hand and was photographed by the local teaching hospital to show students what cat bites can do.
Yikes! Just … yikes!

OMG I just finally watched the whole thing and 1.) I need that puppy! and 2.) Puppy’s name is Pablo!
