That beagle mix with the stuffie just breaks my heart! So glad they were saved! Adopt, don’t shop!♥️
The dog “practicing” mean faces is hysterical!😂
I don’t care how much doggo practices his mean face in the mirror he’ll never be scary he’s just too adorable!
Mean doggie looks like he’s trying not to laugh at the end.
Good boy, Tinsley.
Actually, Tinsley is a good girl.
I saw this story on “we rate dogs” IG and they gave her the very rare 15/10. What an amazing doggo.
Oops, sorry Tinsley. I’m a few days behind on the WRD IG. That’s the second 15/10 in the past few weeks!
Only had time for “mean face” goggie and will now be giggling all day. That was epic.
Of course a cat “lords” it over everyone in their own castle. Would we expect anything less? Huge thank you to all the rescue organizations that got the dogs out of the shelter, can’t believe the original workers/volunteers couldn’t take time to make sure the dogs were taken care of over the holiday. And their first option was to put them all down? Guess some shelters just don’t have the resources, which is sad. Enough of my rant. Tinsley is a very good girl, glad the owner and friend are going to be alright. Scary dog is not very scary, maybe he should get together with the dog from yesterday and they go ravaging throughout the land together.
Your rant is not undeserved, but at the same time, it’s a fact that some shelters really don’t have the resources to be no-kill shelters, and that’s one of the ways that rescue organizations make a positive difference. I suspect that shelter staff, like so many of us, are exhausted and need the occasional break themselves. And also that COVID has contributed to staffing shortages.
I would love it if all shelters were no-kill shelters, but no matter how sad it makes me, I understand why not all of them are yet. IMO puppy mills and backyard breeders are a huge part of the problem, and if we could put *those* out of business, more shelters could make it to no-kill status. There’s NO excuse for puppy mills and backyard breeders.
Greater availability of low-cost spay and neuter services would also make a positive difference. Ricky and Bibi’s vet founded a charity to help make that happen in NYC. https://www.tobyproject.org/
Yes to low-cost spay and neuter services! No to puppy mills and backyard breeders. (I’m conflicted about all breeders, to be honest.) Adopt, don’t shop!
As cute as yesterday’s puppies were, I was mildly horrified at what seemed like very large litters. Would like to think that all the hoomins were responsible owners who would find good homes for the pups and insist that adopters/buyers spay and neuter.
Happy Feast of the Epiphany for those who do, and Happy Twelfth Night for everyone.
We are snowed in! Hooray! Hubby’s home! It will rain later, but for now…
All the puppies and kitties are adorable today. I have an especial fondness for pudgy tummies, and there were several today. 💖💖💖
Dog practicing mean faces in the mirror. Just in case there’s an intruder.
Tinsley is the goodest girl. She’s a hero.
Folks, be sure to watch Sanjuro kitty’s video. All cats deserve a retinue, IMHO.
Thanks for reminding me because I couldn’t watch it at work.
I want to know what he did on his holiday break….
