Is anyone singing “High Hopes” in response to that teensy kitten? That heroic leap is one of my favorite things on the Internet.
Fun fact: My first encounter with “High Hopes” was the JFK campaign version, sung by Frank Sinatra. It’s on YouTube, for the curious. I don’t think Cutetropolis is really the place for it—this place is for brave little kittens!
My mom used to sing “High Hopes” to me as a toddler as I was falling asleep. 🥲💕
Aww. Mom’s are the best.
She certainly was. 🥰
That kitten! The might meow!
That tiny kitten has reduced me to a pile of mush, I’m going to be useless for the rest of the day.
I can’t get over it. I keep watching it again and again. If kitteh were human you’d predict a great future.
Everyone loves that mighty kitten!! It is so sweet that’s for sure! 😸
All the links are great though. Blood donor doggy is special. ❤️
I was really expecting an unprecedented gigantic flying leap onto the counter from that little kitten. I was not disappointed! This was so much better. 😻
That kitten jump needs to be a .gif, it’s already a gift.
Arnie is such a good boi.
Hope sproings eternal in the kitten breast….
What they said…
Arne is the bestest boi. Love the Dogist guy and all his projects. That shelter worker brings so much joy to her world. And oh, that mighty kitten!
Yet again, Mike has curated links that are exactly what I need and perfectly match my own mood this morning. Some of you may remember that I’ve had some intense stuff going on for a few weeks, and this week featured a big data update for our computer systems at work, along with a cat hostage situation that I’ll describe for Caturday.
I asked to take today off, and through a series of *fortunate* events, just made a very good connection with a realtor. Long story short–I’ve now got hope that I can build/find a new place to live, closer to work, with all the features I need. It’s a nice antidote to the past few weeks, to feel so hopeful. Just one connection can make all the difference when you’re trying to solve complicated problems.
Also my washer and dryer are supposed to be delivered tomorrow. They’ll call me tonight. Fingers and paws crossed, everybody.
Some very good news! I hope the cat hostage story is actually funny – fingers crossed.
It turned out fine, and I learned a few things. Will endeavor to make it funny in the re-telling.
Hang in there DebG. Sounds like there’s at least a few bright lights in that tunnel!
Sounds like the good stuff outweighs the bad stuff, at least for the moment. I would love to be able to move (someplace quieter…). Good luck with the washer/dryer!
I’m on my sixth day in a row because I had to work on Sunday (at least I’m working from home today). So glad it’s almost over and I think the necessary stuff is done (at least my boss said so. There is one thing that is rather time consuming which I haven’t finished, but he said it doesn’t absolutely need to be done by the end of the week so we can work on that next week). My boss said I did a ‘phenomenal job’…glad he thinks so.
I hope you can get some time off soon, Allein–we have to recharge our batteries! And I’m not surprised that your boss finds you phenomenal. We certainly do.
😊
I’m taking next Friday to make up for Sunday and the other day I put in for three vacation days at the end of March.
I was thinking a lot of you and Allein this week as both of you had mentioned some difficult times at work. I’m sending a big virtual hug to both of you. It is really time for the weekend to start.
It really is. Fortunately, my wonderful boss let me start early. He too praised me, in public, for the handling of our big project.
