Yes I feel that way too about some mating scenarios. In some cases it looked like the female was NOT happy with the proceedings at all! As in no consent! But maybe I am anthropomorphizing.

The male was doing the up and down jumps? It was pretty impressive! “Look at me—my offspring will also be excellent jumpers.”

Actually I think the one doing the jumps is the female. The male is doing the rushing and pursuing, and he looks a little more tense. The jumping bun seems pretty casual about the whole thing.

I did see some bun games early this spring, on one of my walks. Wasn’t sure if they had the zoomies or something more intense on their minds!
