I saw a news report yesterday about the cat saving it’s doggy friend from a coyote attack and they were showing dog vests like this you can put on you dog to protect them.
A neighbor got one for his Cairn terrier, in response to an aggressive dog whose owner always let run loose. I don’t know how well the vest did or did not work (bad dog owner was soon evicted by landlord), but the dog looked like he was straight out of the CBGB East Village punk scene from the late 70s/early 80s! We all got a good giggle out of it, but I am glad these things exist to protect our little friends. I saw the video about the cat protecting the little dog from the coyotes and thought it was too scary to submit. I am so glad that little dog has such a badass cat friend!

Boy, some lucky pets being saved! Those coyotes coming into the yard are a little freaky.
And how does a dog fall off a cliff? I mean, what were they doing?
Love the BFF dogs and so glad they are now together.π
Dancing Lemur? Who knew? Very cute thoππΌ

Possible scenario? The frisbee was accidentally tossed over the cliff…

(Though the Ologies podcast did an episode on lemurs recently and the guest expert said that lemurs do not, in fact, like to move it move it.)

Love sifakas and lemurs so much. I would go to Madagascar just to see them in the wild, like John Cleese did. The baby sifaka is especially cute.
The next best thing is to visit them at Duke Lemur Center in North Carolina! The center has been at the forefront of lemur conservation for many decades, including housing and breeding the wonderful Aye-aye, once listed as the world’s most endangered mammal. The center has multi-acre enclosures for many of the animals, where they can dance and cavort to their heart’s content. They have been able to reintroduce lemurs bred at the center to well-protected areas of Madagascar. So, it may not be exactly the same as seeing them in the wild, but if you do one of their tours, maybe a lemur will come up and sit on your foot! π

Louie and Baloo, what a sweet story and even better they can be together all the time thanks to their humans getting together. Yikes, coyote story and dog falling off cliff are scary, this is why my dogs are on leash even just in our backyard. Ya just never know!

Great links! The superhero cat saving pup from coyotes, the helicopter rescue of the poor dog who fell off the cliff , the foursome who fell in love and the baby dancing lemur!
I needed that!
