The baby goat machine at Sunflower Farms is hitting full production. A second set of triplets arrived, and today there are seven bouncing babies enjoying their new home, including one particularly precarious hay bale.

Okay, just how common are goat triplets?
Looking it up, it isn’t that uncommon. Depends too on the breed. Mostly momma goats who’ve had previous kids are more likely to have twins or triplets. One farm said it happens about 10% of the time. There’s even been instances of goats having quads and quints! Isn’t nature wonderful?

Wow! Thanks ๐ ๐๐๐
Wonder why baby goats BOUNCE so much?! I mean, besides the cuteness factorโฆ
at least they’re not eating coffee beans.
Can you imagine?
That does it, I’m retiring and raising goats on my 1/2 acre. Just think of all the cheese and yogurt I can have. Plus they’ll keep the weeds down. Hey DebG, you want the wool when I comb them out?
Seriously, I did ask hubby about getting some goats out back to help with the weeds and he totally vetoed that idea. Plus while goats and baby goats are just adorable, they are a ton of work from what I hear. Le Sigh, guess I’ll just have to get my goat fix by watching these videos.
The city council in Montreal actually had this program of using goats and sheep as a money-saving idea for mowing the lawns in public parks.

I think they only have sheep now because goats proved to leave too much poop.
Incidentally, while goats are awesome and hilarious, goat kids have a habit of occasionally screaming for seemingly no reason at all. Probably just for fun to see people panic trying to figure out what’s wrong.
Also, it’s not a good idea to literally butt heads with a baby goat. They are surprisingly strong and it hurts. (Don’t) ask my six year old self how I know.
yes yes yes yes yes
Have decided to add goats to my list of animals on my dream hobby farm, just for the sproing factor. And since said farm will be on several acres, I will have a series of small houses built for Cutetropolis visitors and wool variety gatherers. Alpacas, Newfies, Poms, Maine Coons, sproingy goatlings, ducks, budgiesโฆ So much to plan for.
And sheepses with black faces and knees.
And chickens that lay eggs in a variety of colours.
You will be having LOTS of visitors!๐๐ผ
So sproingy!
One of the mothers has a MAGNIFICENT black goatee!
