Yes, it can be a lonely existence. Sitting at my post for days at a time, with nothing but a voice on the radio for company, can drive you crazy if you let it. But thanks to me, there hasn’t been a single forest fire in the living room.

Funnily enough, since I started surveying York from my loft window we haven’t had a single forest fire either.
