Cat climbs rock wall, man befriends otter, freed cat has kittens, and a song about kitties.
And finally: You Need a Kitty!
Cats are the real heroes, and this clever song found by Allein tells us why.

That cat song is AMAZING! I have sent it to all the kitty owners/lovers I know! Good job Allein👍🏼
Happy TG to all in the U.S.!🦃
Lalah is a tortie so of course she’s the boss of the gym!
OK I can’t be the only one that sang along with the meow meow meow of the song, right?
The links are perfect today. Cat video has given me an earworm but in the best way. The original song is one of my favorite tunes. A friend of mine used it in her wedding video for when her husband and groomsmen exited the limo to go into the church. And the guys were all active duty Marines in full dress uniform. Most appropriate use of the song ever!
If you can find the otter story on Youtube or streaming, watch it. I saw it when it first came out and was such a sweet story. Lalah would be great incentive for me to go to a gym, probably the only way you’ll get me in one, lol.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in the US. I’m grateful for Mike, this site for providing a little corner of sanity from the rest of the world wacky web, and everyone here.
The Marine full dress uniform is the most beautiful uniform ever to me (and, if I’m being honest, a man in that uniform makes my knees go a’quiver…).
Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow US Qte watchers. I’m very thankful for this site, for Mike who keeps the cuteness coming, for all of you, and ditto what Allein said, so very grateful for more much-needed rain.
Happy Thanksgiving to all the USians. I’m so very grateful for this wonderful site, for Mike’s commitment to keeping us all in “awww” and laughing. I’m so very grateful for all of you, my online family.
Tam and her family are beautiful and delightful. I enjoyed the cat song very much and will dole out the other links over the day.
Lalah on the ping pong table! Such a brave, wonderful, perfect cat for the gym.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I am thankful for some much-needed rain, which is supposed to last another couple hours but stop before I need to leave.
Here’s the full doc about Billy & Molly from National Geographic:
Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate! For USAians who are stuck at home alone, I can recommend the Astaire-Rogers marathon on TCM and the National Dog Show on NBC. And, of course, our lovely Cutetropolis!
Thanks for the kitty song, Allein and Mike, that’s a hoot!
Will check out the porkypine post on my next visit.
We are actually doing our “official” Thanksgiving on Saturday. We always go to my uncle’s (my mom’s brother) but both their kids are going to their in-laws (it’s their older son’s wife’s birthday today, so they wanted to go to her mom’s), and the rest of the extended family has been shrinking and scattering over the past several years and the holiday gatherings have gotten smaller and smaller, so they decided to just do dinner on Saturday so everyone can be there. So my parents are making roasted chicken tonight (which frankly I like better than turkey, anyway), and it was going to be just the four of us but then they invited my aunt and uncle since now they don’t have any plans for today.
I was tasked with getting apple pie and ice cream for Saturday. I had to go to the grocery store (against my better judgment) yesterday after work (the parking lot was crazy but while I was waiting behind a car waiting for someone to pull out, another car pulled out in between us so I was able to park just a few spots past the handicap spots; inside the store wasn’t quite as bad as I expected) so I just picked up the ice cream. I want to get the pie from the local orchard store; I figure I should be able to get one Saturday morning (or maybe tomorrow, but they close at 6 and I’m in the office tomorrow so I don’t know if I’ll be able to get there in time….might try to get out a little early if I get enough stuff done…my boss won’t be there, anyway and I can cut my lunch short). If not hopefully I can get one at ShopRite (not as good, but not terrible). The last couple years I ended up getting a frozen bake-it-yourself pie because the orchard store didn’t have any left, so I’m taking a bit of a risk, but I figure most people will have gotten their pies for today and it should be easier after the holiday. 🤞🏻
Just in case you’re planning dinner with relatives today. Book Leslie Jones now!
Yes!
Thankfully my family doesn’t generally get into political arguments. A few years ago my uncle started on something at the dinner table and I surprised myself by saying, “Can we not?” and he actually stopped and changed the subject. (Normally I’d just go find somewhere else to be but I couldn’t exactly leave the table in the middle of dinner.) Last year (before dinner) he started saying something that would have had me leaving the room it went on too long, but my dad changed the subject, and I honestly couldn’t tell if he did it on purpose or if he just had something else on his mind. Either way, it was pretty smooth and kinda fun to watch.
Thank you! That was hysterical😂
Thank you, Debg! Omg, lol!!!! 😂
