And finally: Bilingual Bird
Dana D. shares a bird who speaks English and droid.
The bird absolutely blows my mind.
Same!!!!
I’ve seen a documentary about African giant pouched rats and they are amazing!
Starlings are incredible mimics, they can imitate just about any sound from human voices to car alarms!
Y’know, I’d always assumed it was a mocking bird that nested outside my window one year at college and learned to imitate my alarm clock…
Bilingual bird ended with Star Wars!๐๐ผ
Its a shame that Cheeto is not photogenic….
Exactly. I would willingly look at any photo of him just to help him improve.
Happy retirement, Carolina!
I am right now drinking Bright Star Breakfast Blend tea from Keats & Co. (at http://www.good.store); 100% of the profits go to fund tuberculosis treatment (John Keats died of it; tuberculosis is author John Green’s pet cause and he just released a book about it. Good Store is one of his and his brother Hank’s many projects; they also sell socks, soap, and recently added eco-friendly cleaning products. All of their profits go to charity). It’s a little pricey but it’s pretty good (I got it and their Meadows mug for myself for Christmas).
Thanks for the tea tip, I’ll have to check out their store. I just had a cup of
Mulled Wine in Vienna Herbal Blend from Churchills Tea. Fruit, and spices, and very yummy.
They have several tea flavors and also coffee. And you can subscribe and save a little bit of money. I have too much tea at home; I keep telling myself I’m not allowed to buy more until I use it up. It’ll be a while…
Ok, I’m about to head to Hawaii and kidnap, I mean ADOPT Cheeto and I’ll also take Miss Olive. Spicy kitties are the best! Birb is too funny, and such a mimic. Couldn’t tell when the human was speaking vs the bird.
The cockatiel C-section had me biting my finger so hard I drew blood. Little Duckie cheered the baby on until it was fully hatched.
I had seen that amazing video before! The way he had to chip the bird out of his egg was so intense. I also didnโt know birdsโ stomaches were so high. So glad that man saved him!
I believe thatโs the birdโs crop. If Iโm correct, birds use up food energy so fast that they have to keep a second meal literally on hand to stoke up.
Wow! Thanks๐๐ผ
