Fiona’s Nippy Winter Day

Fiona and her mama Bibi are loving life in their magical underwater world. Their favorite game is called “Tag, You’re Bit.” (A holiday treat from Lois M.)

No… more… MEEEELKS!?!?!?

And speaking of Little Miss Chompy, officials at the Cincinnati Zoo say they have taken Fiona off bottle feeding and are now feeding her solid food only. Which means that up until this point, some brave humans were bottle-feeding a hippo weighing almost 650 pounds.

Oh I wish we had a photo of 650 pounds Fiona drinking her meeeelk.

It looks like the 650 lb Fiona was being bottle-fed very prudently – there was a fence I think.

Like seeing them together and happy despite just being the two of them.

Yes, I was wondering if Bibi misses Henry. They do look so sweet and happy!

I don’t think any of us will tire of seeing Fiona no matter how big she gets. I was excited when I got this video from the Zoo and couldn’t wait to send it on to Mike for all to see!! Wonder what they’ll give her for her first Christmas!! I’m sure they have a Fiona party planned. 🙂 Love watching her do pirouettes around Bibi. So sad that Henry isn’t there to enjoy her antics also. But I’m sure he’s watching her and smiling at what she does.

I can’t even imagine how proud Fiona’s care team must be for her! They helped a *lot,* but nevertheless she had to overcome such difficulties as a young baby — she is truly a magnificent success story!

I got her book as a Christmas gift! It’s beyond adorable, and the zoo’s pride in her is palpable.
