I’ve seen the bookstore cat article pop up a couple times on facebook. Inevitably someone has to be a buzzkill and say “this is a bad idea because I’m allergic to cats!” 🙄 Just enjoy the cute, people!
I really love the art. Not only because the cats give it personality but because they are so zen. Calming and soothing.
And I would like to think that the bookstore doesn’t surprise shoppers with the kittens. It must be posted somewhere so that if you have an allergy you don’t enter. Unlike stores where all the staff wear (or bathe in?) perfume.
Ugh…never had a problem with coworkers wearing perfume (though I do have one now, unfortunately); it was the customers you could still smell ten minutes after they left…(and you can’t get away from the register!).
I read some of the comments and someone mentioned that they live 20 minutes from the store and didn’t know about it (and thanked the website “for the weekend plans”); then commented later that when they went there, they had “run out of kittens” for the week (and were told to check back in two weeks). 🙂
