Just like the cats in today’s open thread, it’s been snowing in Maru’s part of the world. And so he and Hana set out for an adventure in their snow-covered backyard, where they get to leave some footprints of their own.
But hark! What is this? Someone, possibly Calvin and Hobbes, has unleashed an army of little snow people! Maru and Hana deal with the interlopers in a most savage fashion by devouring their eyes, for which they are rewarded with icicles.

The snow sculpture strips were my very favorite Calvin and Hobbes comics.
Was anyone else worried for the poor little stepladder when both of those chonks were standing on it at the same time? I know Maru, at least, is mostly fluff, but still.

Gorgeous videos and kitties. I love mugu’s outdoor videos and getting to see (and hear) M&H interacting with nature. Hana is always so cautious (what’s that? and that?) while Maru is his ever zen-self. 😍
Even Maru’s paw prints resemble his Circle name.
