Welcome to the weekend, Cutetropolitans! Today’s visitor is Butch, courtesy of reader Tara O., who checks all the right boxes for a Caturday in Nosevember, giving us an up-close look at his pink little nose.
And enjoy some bonus Butch, sleeping on Tara’s knee, showing off his whiskers.
Heehee! My dad’s family calls him Butch. I love my dad but this Butch is much cuter.
My new phone finally came yesterday! I’ll have to go over to my parents’ house and pick it up (of course, I had it shipped to them and it was delivered when I was home, anyway). They managed to screw up the address again but the rep said she fixed it. The FedEx guy was still looking for the wrong address (one that does not exist) but my dad managed to flag him down. I bought a case for it but they didn’t have the screen protector so my dad ordered it from the Big South American River (which I try to avoid, but the last thing I want to do is go to an electronics store on Thanksgiving weekend) but I don’t know when that’s supposed to come.
I know there are at least a few other Yoga with Adriene fans here. They had an article about her in the NY Times the other day. The Reigning Queen of Pandemic Yoga (might be behind a paywall but I was able to read it in an incognito window).
And this.
WHUT! I NEED to know the story behind the cats waiting outside. I can’t believe it’s real.
Oh, yeah! Happy Caturday! Here’s dogs.
Her work is swift, and ruthless, and largely ineffective.
(Nosevember tribute just before the 1 minute mark.)
Mabel snoring is maybe the most peaceful thing I’ve ever seen.
“Largely ineffective” 😂😂😂
There was a 60 Minutes video available also, and it’s quite good!
OMG HOW DID I MISS THAT?!?!
One more thing (I promise. For now). I mentioned Jose Andres and World Central Kitchen on the charity thread and then he was on Colbert this week!
Love WCK and the work they do.
My mom mentioned for Christmas they were talking about skipping the gifts and just donating to charity. I think WCK will be one this year. Not sure what else yet; will have to look at the charity post later. I also do my B&N Book Drive donation of $100 worth of books. I got a $120 check from my insurance company (annual dividends, which they apply to your bill if you still owe for the year, but I pay it all at once so they sent a check). I cashed it yesterday and asked for a $100 bill to use for that. I will go one night after work in the next week or two.
Oh such a cutie!!!!! He looks a little shy in the first pic or he’s trying to hide from the pawparrazi. And those whiskers are glorious.
Started setting up the Christmas decorations, most of the inside is done and will be working on the outside today. Depends on what hubby has planned. The only thing that won’t get done this weekend is putting the Snoopy Zamboni inflatable on the garage roof. That will wait til our friends 20-something son comes over, why risk our old fart bones on the ladder when we can send up a young whippersnapper.
After that, this weekend will be just a few errands to run and then get back in work brain mode for Monday. Have a good weekend everyone!
I think we’re gonna need a photo of the Snoopy Zamboni inflatable when it’s up. 😀
seconded!
I’ll make sure that I send one in. We also brought a cute holiday airplane that will sit on our side porch. Just need to figure out how to raise it up a little so it can be seen over the bush in front.
Butch is a charmingly cute cat! He can curl up on my lap anytime!😉
I used to have 2 very beloved rabbits, at different times, that would curl up on my lap or in my arms and snuggle. I loved them so much!
Butch is so sweet with his paws over his eyes.
Amazing whiskers.
Thought you all might appreciate the review of this napkin holder from “Shareen” that my brother sent me…
Snerk!😆
Butch is bee-YOO-tee-ful!
Good Morning Everyone!
Allein you are on fire today! 😍😂Thanks for all the links.
Ah my sweet Butchie. He was a feral cat for a couple of years in my garden and so he had that typical tomcat body, giant head, and every muscle showing. He also has a little bit of that jock swagger, do you know what I mean? The ever so slightly turn in toes, little bowlegged, and hip tilt? Very macho. When he decided to move in he was such a love bug, I almost changed his name to Romeo, but he already answered to Butch so we kept it. Thank you all for your kind compliments about him. He would be very happy to come and shnuggle with you if you’d like to stop by for a little visit.
Happy belated thanksgiving as well. I hope whatever you did it was enjoyable. There was a wonderful section in the NYTimes newsletter, “Gratitude in 6 words”:

get your hankies ready.
❤️❤️❤️
Edit: not sure what happened, but I ended up pasting the wrong thing. But it’s cute too so I’ll just leave it here
PS: scroll past the first bears and speakers up
That bear in the background who is more interested in wrestling!😂
Butch is a cutie. The little teefs in the first photo! <3 My first kitteh was a tuxedo, so I have a soft spot for them. Thanks for sharing him with us!
Butch is such a beauty, pink toebeans on a dark kitty. Not to mention the white mask ( so 2020!) with the matching white socks.
Sweet Butch. I’m trying to type on the iPad with Sevi butting my hand. Will just say hi for now and will check back later.
