“Louise! So nice to see you! Children, this is Mrs. Wasserman, an old and dear friend of mine. It’s funny how we met: She used to chase me every morning and then we discovered we both liked macrame. Anyway, this is Cheryl, she’s taking gymnastics, she’s very talented… Cheryl! Tumble for Mrs. Wasserman! And then this is Mortimer, he’ll be joining Boy Scouts in summer, going to camp for a whole month, such a big boy…”
I like how the mama cat sneaks away (but not too far) for some alone time while her dog friend entertains the kittehs.
Yes – and how the dog is so patient when both kittens start whapping her paws – very sweet!
Excuse me, I have something in my eye…
Welcome, new commenter! Have a tissue.
A kitten is softer, but probably less absorbent…
Thanks muchly!
“Ah, Sandra, your children are delightful! They have grown so much!
Remember when you met their father? We were at that club – what was it’s name? We had some crazy dance moves then, didn’t we?”
Would it have been the Tom Tom Club by any chance?
“It was late, the music was loud and the Cosmos were sweet…”
The lights were dizzying, the Cosmos were dizzying, the attraction was dizzying. 9 weeks later, Cheryl and Mortimer.
Haven’t seen NTTTOT (Not That Tom, The Other Tom) since.
that gave me all the feels!
When doggis puts out one paw for each kittie I started to get tears. And the two old friends take some time to play. Very special relationship.
I smiled the whole way thru!
=^..^=
Glad you liked it! Welcome, new commenter!
Much sweetness! We all can strive for relationships such as this.
So adorable! Clearly Doggie and Mama Cat are good friends. Once the kittens wander off, Doggie is all “OK, now we can have some fun!” I just love this!!!
Love this kind of stuff! *sneef*
I bet doggy goes home and dreams about the white splash on her belly.
Ack- Mortimer! Love it!
This made me happy.
