I suppose that I should step up and say that Doobie up there doesn’t speak for me. I’m enjoying your stories a lot. Anyway, enjoy your Caturday.
And if a cat gets the wrong present…
To quote one of the youtube-commenters: this video promotes cat violence do not show your cat this!
My aunt adopted a wolf for my mom one year for Christmas, and she got a little stuffed wolf from the organization. It was probably about half the size of the cat, but she was very, very cautious when she saw it. She sneaked up behind it, very slowly, and eventually worked up the courage to whap at it with her paw. It fell over. I think she still wasn’t quite convinced that it wasn’t real.
That’s cute and funny, and so typically ‘cat’ somehow.
I have a life size ceramic rabbit that my grandpop made. The first time my brother brought his cat to my house, she spent the first 24 hours growling and hissing at the rabbit. After a day of warnings, she finally worked up the courage to swat it, after which she seemed to realize it wasn’t going to fight back and she left it alone.

My city, my home town. Yes.
Geez, I need to show that to my gray tabbeh so he can learn how to handle himself. Yesterday I was cutting out fabric and when I moved a tissue paper pattern piece through the air, he FREAKED OUT and went tearing out of the room. Two seconds later he ran into his litter box because the p** had been scared out of him?
Silly cat. 😀
CBC is playing a snippets of Christmas movies that they are showing over the holidays and the one that still cracks me up is from ‘A Christmas Vacation’ when the neighbour yells over to Chevy Chase asking ‘hey Griswald is that tree big enough?!’ and Griswald yells back ‘ I dunno bend over and we can find out!.’ I am snerking writing this out now.
