People say a restaurant is good if you see a lot of locals eating there. If so, the Marine Room Restaurant must be amazing, since they got a visit from a local seafood expert: this stranded sea lion pup. The critter crawled into a booth and spent the night, waiting for the catch of the day. Happily, SeaWorld came to the rescue with their special children’s menu.
Would you like to see the wine list, Karen P.?
such a sweet pup. sure hope he gets lots of noms now
So sad… Adorable sea lion pup should be with Momma, playing in the waves and learning to fish. But at least s/he found a nice warm bed for the night, and good people who called SeaWorld rescue. Now hopefully s/he will get lots of meelks and fishies to eat and will grow plump and loud like the sea lions who populate San Francisco Bay.
That is adorable.
I’m so glad this poor, scared, hungry sea lion pup found a place that could get him some help. His face looks so sad. Hope he grows to be a healthy adult able to go back into the wild.
if he ever gets that crayon that would be another cute picture!
OOO! sea lions actually are artistic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iD7KUUfjHCs
I remember seeing a bit on TV in which an unknowing art critic/ gallery owner was brought a bunch of paintings done by otters (who had been given colored cubes of ice to push around on paper). The snotty critic pontificated at great length about the otterworks, not knowing who had done them, and came to the conclusion that they had been done by “a talented amateur”. You should have seen his face when he was told they had been painted by otters.
(I can appreciate an abstract bit of art now and then, but give me a Raphael or a Monet any day over 90% of modern art, especially when it is curated by snobs!).
See you snarked and we handled it!! Being an art snob is being arty farty.
I hope the little guy makes it.
I have eaten at this restaurant. When the tide is up the waves crash against the windows and when it’s down the seal pups crash for the night…
LOL! Maybe the bandicoot can crash there too!
With the ducklings of course.
Poor guy should’ve ordered oysters on the half-shell, no banging on the rocks required. Or at least a decent kelp salad. maybe a very rare shrimp cocktail.
This restaurant gets the ‘seal’ of approval!
Poor little goober. I am glad he is being taken care of now and is getting noms.
Perhaps he just wanted to order wheat toast? A chicken salad sandwich…hold the chicken salad? 😀
