Bebeh geese! Glad he was freed.
The park near where I work has an animal enclosure with lots of deer, geese, and ducks, a few chickens; and then within that enclosure are smaller ones with other animals – goats, pigs, rabbits, peacocks, turkeys, quail, Silkie chickens (they had babies a few years ago and I nearly died from the cute), and even an emu (each species has their own space). I went there yesterday after work and there were a bunch of baby ducks zooming around in the pond. So freakin’ cute!
Wish I had an annimal parc near where I work, but I’m in downtown Montreal so all I get are pigeons.
Not that I hate pigeons but they don’t rock the cute as much as baby ducks!
There’s also a lake there (not in the enclosure) with plenty of wild geese. They have bebehs, too. People often bring bread and carrots to feed the ducks, geese, and deer. They’re loose in there so they can come up to the fence. The other animals have a second fence or other structure so you can’t feed them unless you can throw far enough (the goats have a sign asking not to feed them, though, because “their diet is well-balanced.” The rabbits are in hutches (I don’t know where they go for the winter). And one of the hutches used to have two ferrets.
I am jealous of bebeh animuls park!
I am not fond of wasps, but multi-colored nests are pretty.
I agree, Amy. And I like my un-fond-of wasps muuuuuuuuch farther away.
Like in another STATE further away! At least you could see the nest better and thus get rid of it before the swarm keels you!?
Wasps scare the (unprintable) out of me. But I will admit, that’s a pretty nest.
Cracked me up at the gosling running past mom to the waters edge. So long and thanks for the sharp edges!!
That wasp nest is just. weird. I wonder what the point of this was, I guess our trash affects the wildlife I’m thinking. And that this kid wears tie dyes.
I can SO see Benetton using this in an up coming ad campaign.
