WOW! What an intrepid pussycat! What determination! And courage! Inspirational!
I was thinking along the same lines. He approaches the swing the same way he approaches small boxes–just that same placid determination. He always keeps trying, and he always succeeds in the end. I should be more like Maru!
At one point Maru was doing a more than passable Chacha. I also loved the careful consideration before the first try.
I too thought he was trying to dance. Maru, honey, Fred Astaire you ain’t.
Do Maru and Hana ever slide down their slide? Inquiring minds want to know.

Maru is the BEST! I love how he studies the situation making sure it’s secure and able to deal with his avoirdupois. I love the stompy feet as he practices his moves – and how TOTALLY BLASÉ he is at the end!!! What a cat. And having a swing inside your house is pretty cool, too.
I like how he looks up. Like he’s asking “Wait, what’s this supposed to be hanging from?”

My head still hurts and I guess my mood as not improved much because all I could think of as I watch the video was ; Why the he** does she have a swing in the living room?

Do you think she has a closet crammed full of cat toys that she just rotates so they always have something different to play with? How much of her income goes toward cat toys? Or do the makers of said toys send her free stuff so they will be seen on her channel?
Allein, I bet it’s the latter – it’s the only way I can explain the shaved-ice-machine video 😀 (hint – cats only like shaved ice if you garnish it with kibbles…)

Ooooo, fish flavored snow cones. I’d love one of those machines but in a less “carnie” style, a sleeker, more Art Deco look.
I had a friend growing up whose family had a swing in their living room. But alas, they didn’t have a smart kitty like Maru to use it. He is so thoughtful, considering the best way to get up on it, and then sitting there so nonchalantly! What a cat!
Not sure what’s happening, but no matter whose post I try to reply to it only says “Leave a Reply to Allein” – what gives Allein, have you taken over in some dastardly plot that’s been brewing all this time????
