“And Ramirez swings and knocks a low ground ball straight towards center fielder Dougie McDoggerson, who should be able to scoop this up easily and hold Ramirez to a base hit… or maybe not.”

Wow! That’s quite a slide!
Too bad he wasn’t heading for home plate…
Ruh Roh! Love the the look on the dog’s face as he slides past the ball.
I GOT IT !!
.. I GOT IT !!
…. I GOT IT !!
…… AH NUTS .. Missed it By ‘that’ much …
As Confucius say – Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. Ball fetching – weeellll, not so much. So sorry.
That is the definition of keep your eye on the ball!
Especially impressive considering his butt was flying in the opposite direction.
Ooooh, grass burn.
The doggeh was revved up when he got to that ball. That’s a lot of momentum that carried over. Physics at work, folks!
Darnit! Science! and Miss Sakamoto you’re beautiful!
Error! Career killer. I’ll escort him to the sheep farm team where he obviously belongs.
Dammit, McDoggerson, how many times do we have tell you? STOP TRYING TO MAKE FETCH HAPPEN!
NO BRAKES!!!
I can’t stop laughing over the expression on doggie’s face as he unwillingly puts distance between himself and the ball.
Oooh, that’s gonna leave some grass stains!
Hope he’s not dry clean only!
Either physics is broken or that dog is on a severe downslope that’s not obvious in the video. Or the grass is actually ice perfectly painted to look like grass. The dog looks just as surprised by his continued motion as I was.
Yeah, I’m thinking wet grass…
