Unboxing the New iBun

Today we take a look at the latest in the iBun family, featuring improved GPS (giddy prosh squeeing) and some controversial changes such as the removal of theΒ cotton-ball tail, a popular feature of older models.

    GPS, indeed!! WANT. NOW.?????????

  2. Faye September 25, 2016 / 9:45 am

Yes! I ordered my iBun in white. Can’t wait until it ships.

I’m worried about inserting the dongle though.

    • 6rabbits September 25, 2016 / 10:24 am

Yes, if it goes where I think! Buns do NOT like you messing with that end!?

    • Murray C. September 25, 2016 / 1:08 pm

I plead ignorance – what’s a dongle? Or is that an indelicate question.

      • Faye September 25, 2016 / 1:36 pm

Adapter. Lol. Dongle is a much more fun word.

Great name for a clingy pet.

        • Murray C. September 25, 2016 / 1:59 pm

Or some other bits I could mention but will refrain – mostly because I know you guys and you’ll complete it on your own. NOT said by Queen Elizabeth, “A dirty mind is a terrible thing to waste.”

One of the models seemed to have a problem out of the box. I think it’s probably due to the removal of the cotton ball tail feature ?

    • 6rabbits September 25, 2016 / 10:21 am

      ?

I’m with 6Rabbits, Want Now!! Many sqeeees. I didn’t know Apple mistakenly put bunnehs in the box instead of the iPhone. I felt for the last leetle bunneh, he/she couldn’t seem to figure how to get out of the box , maybe a little slow on the uptake– I still want all 3.

  5. AJ September 25, 2016 / 10:43 am

Squee!!!! I’m in line right now to get my model. Two questions, does it also come in black or silver, and how strong is the signal with those ears? Love the last little bunny, to me he seemed he was looking for nom noms. Hey I was promised treats if i sat in the box, soooo where are they?? Early signs of bunny disapproval.

    • Deb September 25, 2016 / 7:03 pm

I would wait in line all night at the Apple store for this new model!

  6. Duckie ? September 25, 2016 / 11:04 am

And so we finally learn what REALLY happened with the Apple logo.

Not to be a spoil sport, but I’m not sure I like putting those wee babes in boxes, even for a few minutes – their eyes don’t even seem to be fully open. But buns like cozy spaces, and it’s darned cute. And they’re none the worse for wear. I so wanted to help that last one.

    • joods September 25, 2016 / 11:45 am

@murray c. I too wanted to help that last baby bun…looking for noms, for littermates, for mom? Sweet mini-buns.

      • maia September 25, 2016 / 12:13 pm

me, three. especially when it did get out but couldn’t get traction on the darned slippery counter! πŸ™‚

    • Not That Mike The Other Mike September 25, 2016 / 12:18 pm

I understand the concern, but this looks like a video that was professionally staged to create an illusion that the bunnies are in the boxes the entire time when in fact they are only enclosed for a moment.

      • maia September 25, 2016 / 12:26 pm

I totally agree with you NTMTOM, I’m not trying to be a ’nuff. I think that last wee bun just triggers very strong “want to help” instincts in some of us! πŸ™‚

      • Murray C. September 25, 2016 / 12:43 pm

I did wonder about that – similar to the fellow who turns things into animals. Very clever photography. I feel better.

      • joods September 25, 2016 / 3:52 pm

NTMTOM…honestly I’m not nuffing this video. Nor am I “throwing pudding” for those who remember the term from the old CO days. I know you’re work via Cutetrop & CO, and know you would not present or allow a video that shows animals/people being put at risk.

Maia made reference to those of us who “wants to help”. I am one of those peeps. My original response was not out of concern I was watching a film endangering helpless animals. I was putting into words my response to that tiny bunlet looking so prosh, wanting to scoop it up, softly boop it’s nose, sing to it, and gaaaaah! Head ‘sploded!

So to recap: It’s all good. Thank you NTMTOM for all you do, and for making this a haven for wonderful humor, intelligent, non-judgmental conversation and great human-beans.

        Judy

LOL! Wish I’d thought of it first!!!

Hey, Mike, what’s the situation on your weekly pretzel? We haven’t gotten any news lately?

              • Not That Mike The Other Mike September 25, 2016 / 7:21 pm

I almost didn’t get to the stand in time to GET a pretzel yesterday! By the time I got there, they were sold out of pretzels, but still had pretzel sticks (same dough, different shape) so I picked up three of those to get my fix. Yum!

                • Smartypants September 26, 2016 / 7:36 am

Oh good – I was wondering too!

  8. Duckie ? September 25, 2016 / 11:38 am

Cutetroplitans, I am in desperate need of support today. I have hit a new emotional low, over finances, and I am genuinely scared. I know things will probably work out, but I could use some cute comfort today.

    • JenDeyan September 25, 2016 / 11:49 am

*sends warm fuzzies* This image is cute and made me laugh. Hope it helps. Also, there is an F-bomb in there so be careful.

Edit. I didn’t know it would show the whole image. Not sure how to just show it as a link. Sorry for the F-bomb.

      • maia September 25, 2016 / 12:31 pm

haha! that sums it up perfectly!

      • Murray C. September 25, 2016 / 1:03 pm

But wasps are beneficials and they pollinate, too!?

      • 6rabbits September 25, 2016 / 2:13 pm

F-bomb totally appropriate in this instance!?

      • sugitomo September 25, 2016 / 2:41 pm

        LOL, perfect.

    • maia September 25, 2016 / 12:05 pm

HI, Duckie- I’m late to the party and I don’t know how to post links, but here’s a virtual hug from me. ((((hug))))) . I’ve been there. Hang on, and things will get better. If it feels like it isn’t, keep asking for help.

      here’s a cute gif

Ahhhhhhh!!! I love the guy’s comment that he would turn in his man card because of the noise he made on seeing this gif. I’m curious to know what the noise was .

        • debg September 25, 2016 / 2:29 pm

I’m betting it was a squee. This word, by the way, has entered the OED. Thanks, CuteOverload!

    • Not That Mike The Other Mike September 25, 2016 / 12:12 pm

Keep calm, Duckie. Money is a very stressful topic, but it is not as important in life as friendship, or beauty, or peace. If you have people in your life who care about you, don’t hide your troubles from them and deny them the opportunity to comfort and help you. Do the best you can for yourself, and you will be OK.

      • Murray C. September 25, 2016 / 12:45 pm

Beautifully said, Mike. We’re here for you, Duckie, as best we can be.

      • amyliz September 25, 2016 / 3:59 pm

Duckie, I am sorry you are so stressed over finances. I have been there and can empathize with you, but please heed Mike’s good advice. I finally turned to friends and family for help (difficult for me) and guess what? They were there for me in many ways, which allowed me to get my situation stabilized. In the meantime, stayed to cutetropolis, watch a funny movie, take good care yourself, and keep us posted! And here are some cute and silly images for you!?????????

    • Smartypants September 25, 2016 / 12:49 pm

Oh, Duckie – I hear you. Hang tough! Sending good thoughts your way.

    • Gigi the cat lady September 25, 2016 / 12:51 pm

Duckie, I hope this photo of Mia can bring a smile to your face.
Hope everything gets resolved with your finances.
Big hug from me and a big purr from Mia.

    • Murray C. September 25, 2016 / 12:53 pm

Oh, Duckie, I’m so sorry! I can only wish you brighter days tomorrow and ever after. Be good to yourself, take some deep breaths, follow the cute, and know there’s a good gang of folks here’s rooting for you.

    • D B September 25, 2016 / 1:11 pm

Hope things are better for you soon!

    • Faye September 25, 2016 / 1:38 pm

I’m sorry you are troubled Duckie. ??

    • 6rabbits September 25, 2016 / 2:11 pm

I have been at that scared point, Duckie, and know how debilitating it can be. Let people know. Let people help. Too many times people don’t share with their family/friends because they are afraid of being a burden, or feeling embarrassed or beholden. But stress affects your thinking processes; other unstressed brains may see a solution you can’t.
Lastly, do keep following teh qte!????Scientific research supports its stress-relieving benefits.?
? Here’s to a quick resolution to your difficulties. Peace be with you.?

    • debg September 25, 2016 / 2:27 pm

Duckie, sending lots of warm fuzzies your way. Financial problems are terrifying and you know we’re here for you.

    • AB September 25, 2016 / 2:33 pm

I know that feeling all too well! I second the sentiments already expressed, hug something fluffy and don’t be afraid to get help. Don’t know if it’s a job situation issue, but my husband had amazing luck with a search firm in our local area when he needed a job. They helped him tailor his resume to each potential employer, coached him for the interview, negotiated salary, and didn’t charge us a penny up front (I think the employers pay them a finders’ fee, which comes out of the new hires’ paychecks). You could probably find a business like that in your area with some Google searches.

    • dubravkamcvmd September 25, 2016 / 4:33 pm

I’m sorry you’re scared. Fear can be worse than what we’re afraid of. As everyone else has said, ask for help. People are surprisingly willing to help in an emergency.

  9. Luv Bunny September 25, 2016 / 1:19 pm

Hey Duckie, I tried to send a photo, oh well. Hope things get better for you soon. Keep coming here, to at least put a smile on your face, get doses of animal cute along with clever NTMTOM witticisms.

    • joods September 25, 2016 / 4:27 pm

Duckie…I’m sending you more virtual hugs, along with some positive vibes. Just as others have said, I am here for you. I hope you will also talk to your friends and family members who can be supportive as well. Surrounding yourself with positive, loving people is what you need right now. Don’t go it alone. <3 <3 <3

yes, someone did have to say it! πŸ™‚

iWish I had thought of it.

              Reminds me of a t-shirt I saw in a catalogue “iTired – there’s a Napp for that”.

              • maia September 25, 2016 / 9:08 pm

Why, why, why is there no “groan” emoticon? In a good way, of course! πŸ™‚

                • Murray C. September 25, 2016 / 9:58 pm

Good question. I want one with its tongue out making a raspberry – I have a version of a Happy Face button like that – would make a great emoji.

                  • Faye September 25, 2016 / 10:07 pm

                    ????

                    • Murray C. September 25, 2016 / 10:17 pm

Those just have the tongue out – what I’m thinking of is a fat juicy tongue with the upper lip clamped down on it with little juicy spray drops spritzing out.

Did you know that the use of raspberry for the sound is from Cockney Rhyming Slang? The expression was “raspberry tart” meaning “fart”, but in Rhyming Slang only the first word was expressed, consequently “raspberry”. So there’s “Trouble and Strife” for “wife” but she’d be your “trouble”. Or “Franz and Liszt” for “pissed”, i.e. drunk. The constabulary was apparently flummoxed by the language which was the desired effect.
