As for my taste for comfort and luxury, these were passed on to me by my father, a person of great importance who employed a staff to care for his every need, which mainly included mealtimes and chauffeured visits to the park. Father viewed this not as exploitation but as charity, claiming that this activity gave the lower classes purpose they would otherwise lack in their lives. It was to be a lesson that would inspire me for the rest of my life.

Anybody else get that song from the Jungle Book stuck in their head?
Why is that cat sitting in a cradle playing with a silver spoon?
Because he’s a cat. He does what he wants. It doesn’t have to make sense.
I was thinking more along the lines of:
Oh, I got the reference.
When I was in high school, my psychology teacher and one of the history teachers were in a band together (well, they still are, as far as I know); they played that song for us in class one day.
Saddest song…
Great song, thanks for sharing.
“One has certain obligations, you know.”
Puppy fuzz!
What song?
I think it’s called “I want to be like you”…the boy’s monkey friend sings it to him (these days, I think I’d rather be the monkey, LOL!).

Noblesse oblige!
As a puppy manservant, I can attest to the truthfulness of this statement.
I would obey that pup’s every order. How can a human resist that face???
