Hams are so cute. I have a soft spot for hams: I had 3 childhood hams and each one was a delightful, interactive and fun pet. Their names were Wheels, Pansy and Baby. Wheels was especially beloved, being the first: he went everywhere with me (except to school) in the pocket of my shirt. To this day, I find the sound of a ham wheel (squeaking away all night long) very soothing to sleep by.

I love the names Birdcage; were you a fan of Hammy Hamster? Apparently it got a reboot entitled ‘Tales of the River’. I loved the original and never saw the reboot.

What happened to his sweet ear? Does that happen a lot with hamsters?

I love rodent hands. Hammie hands, mousie, rattle, chippie, squirrelios, etc. fast tiny hands and fast eating too.

Nothing feels cuter than that little teeny tiny hand grasping your finger for support!

Aww, just want to pick up the hammie and snuggle. Reminds me of my gerbils I used to have and love, (well I still miss and love all my pets that have passed away–I’m different, I guess). I miss those silly, sweet, fun loving gerbils.

They’re my favorite tiny critters! I am amazed that they aren’t readily available everywhere. How can there be a shortage of beautiful so-called “vermin”?

Gerbils are the best, I miss mine too.
