Things Are Looking Rosy for Rosie

Sender-inner Carol H. writes with some wonderful news:

“We lost our boy Boomer after a long battle with lung and neurological issues. We needed to pass the love onto another dog and that we have! Please say hello to Rosie the Goldie! She was rescued from the streets of Tijuana, Mexico by lovely lady who works with a vet down there to bring the dogs up from Mexico to be adopted.

“The vet in Mexico thought that during Rosie’s life on the streets she ate rocks because she was hungry, which resulted in her having very worn teeth with many missing. Because of this, when she sleeps her tongue always falls out resulting in a little “blep” when she wakes up. It’s the cutest thing, though I wish she never had a hard life in the first place so she could have all her toofies!

“We have had Rosie for almost five days now and she’s an absolute joy.  Her tail has not stopped wagging since she has come home.”

I wonder if their tongues dry out while they sleep…

I had tubes put in my ears when I was 15; I slept for quite a while afterward and when I woke up my tongue was completely dry. It’s the weirdest feeling. I wonder if doggies with missing teeth have that experience often.

Yes their tongues dry out, I had a Pom that had lost all her teeth because her previous owner fed her only human food and sweets and beer! When she slept her tongue would slip out just like Rosie and get dry. We had her for 13 years, I still call all Poms by her name Ninie. (Sounds like knee knee)

Thrilled for you and Rosie. Blep or no blep. She’s one lucky dog.

And how’s your new girl, Faye?

Me, too! What a great pooch Rosie is. Her dear little tongue is so sweet – I’m sorry that the reason is that she had such a hard life, but how great that she’s in loving arms now.

What a sad reason for getting her but what a wonderful one, too. So glad you found her and she found you. Bless you!! You have another reason for celebrating the season. An early Christmas present for your family.

She’s the cutest thing. I can’t get over her little bleps! When she’s laying down and wags her tail you can hear it thumping throughout the house.

I’m hate to say this, but that dog is in a lot of trouble now.

That poor thing is going to get her nose booped by the entire cute world ..

Way to Go Carol … 🙂

      BOOP! ?

      • Murray C. December 1, 2016 / 9:19 am

Maybe in Cutetropolis we could have an official expression – “BOOP” – like Facebook has “poke” – tho’ I never understood what that was all about. However, I do understand “BOOP” and would certainly apply it to Rosie’s nosie.

Cutetropolis needs a “boop” expression. NEEDS!!!!!!
