And finally: The Carol of the Bills
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Japan’s Matsue Vogel Park, where the penguins go a-wassailing. Now bring them some fishy pudding. Suggested by Gigi the Cat Lady.

The BBC was unable to verify the size of Olivio’s behind. ??? Got to love that British sense of humour. The BBC is almost as funny as you Mike.
And even a Grinch like me was won over by penguins in Holliday outfits ❤️
Hey, the size of Olivio’s behind is Olivio’s business.
When I read that I had a brief fantasy of being the lowly cub reporter who gets sent to Germany with a tape measurer.
?
Olivio: “Hmph! I’m just big-boned.”
As always, I’m in awe of Mike’s google-fu and quirky sense of humor. Don’t let my cats see the dragon-shaped house, though, or they’ll want one!
that dragon structure was the BOMB.
I would give those penguins as much fishy pudding as their little hearts desire if they would come to my front porch. And I’m amazed by the creativity of the people who made the dragon house and mouse restaurant!
Okay, restaurant for mice. I think I’m done for the day.
I wonder if I can get a table…
The tiny details like the graffiti and posters make it even better.
I know! I love the attention to detail.
So glad kitty made it home, too. I couldn’t watch the video because I didn’t want to cry at work, but I’m sure it’s heartwarming.
Now that winter has hit Colorado, I’ve been hugging George Weasleycat even closer–he would have frozen this week if he hadn’t come home!
My heart certainly has been warmed.
Good thing, too, it’s dang cold here.
The kitty looks like my Ben-Him, *snif*.
Before I looked at these links I sent Mike a story about a cat that traveled 190 miles to get home – he was in pretty rough shape but he’s back – thanks to a chip, once again.
I love the jingly penguins – and bring us some fishy pudding – off the edge of my chair laughing. Also, the Word Press snow added a certain je ne sais quoi to the scene. (Actually, I know exactly quoi – SNOW!!!!
And Olivio, the wide-load squirrel. Poor little thing, he wasn’t long for the world when someone found him! Even losing weight didn’t slim him down enough!
I love that the German’s have a Squirrel Protection Association.
