I laughed so hard, my coworkers thought I was crying.
My parents store up brushed-off fur to leave out for birds and squirrels in nest-making season. We’ve actually seen nests with the distinctive tangerine hue of our favorite scrufflebutt.
The parents also collect plastic bags from buying groceries. They keep these in a plastic bag hung off the knob of the door going to the car port.
One day, my dad rolled out of bed at oh dark thirty to go to work, and was just ready to slouch out the door, when he realized they were out of paper bags for his lunch. So he went to the bag bag.
Except mom had accidentally hung the bag of fur there in place of the bag bag. Bleary-eyed booby-dad crammed his hand into what felt for all the world like some kind of horrifying vermin.
Mom informs me there was shrieking.

There are birds nests by my parents house lined in luxurious chinchilla!
I take a bag to Mum, who uses their discarded (peed on) hay in the garden, and offers the tumblefluffs to whomever would like.
