I’m still playing Christmas Catch-Up (sorry), and here’s another Claus-capped cutie, from reader A M: “How about a hedgehog in a santa hat? This is Boss Hogg, our one year old hedgehog. He’s very excited for Christmas!”

“Boss Hogg” for the win! Love that wiggly hedgie nose.
A M, was it you that had the visiting Javelina family?
Yes, that’s us! So happy Boss Hogg got posted!
He is charming – your household is overrun with Teh Qte! 😀
Yeah, we have quite the zoo. Just adopted another dog. ?
I like how the hat bobs in time with his sniffingks.
This little hog can boss me around anytime he wants.
Mike, we just figured you were on the 12 Days of Christmas plan–you’ve got until Jan. 6 to show critters in Santa hats.
Adorable hedgie. I agree with Gigi–he can boss me around all he wants.
Boss Hogg is super excited to be featured along with all the other super cute holiday critters. Thank you!
Yes, the 12 Days plan is what I thought we were going for! I love the little Boss and his bouncy nose and bobble (Hey! Great idea for a British style pub – The Nose and Bobble! – and a Hedgie for the logo!)
*sigh* and George Michael?! I know, I know a bit of a Debbie Downer here but your hedgie is delightful Alison!
And seeing the photo of Princess Leia cat, RIP Carrie F
I know. 2016 has been a brutal to my heart. Seeing a cute hedgie helps. And a cute kitten.
John Oliver said it best: eff you, 2016. What a grim year.
Yes – for some reason it’s Leonard Cohen’s death that has moved me the most, but at least he got to be old and reconcile his life, unlike so many of the others. Bleargh, go away 2016! I am really, really hoping that 2017 will bring us a change for the better.
May the force be with you.
And Richard Adams, who wrote Watership Down. 🙁
NOOOOOOOO.
I know. He was 96, though.
I don’t know if the link will work, it’s something that was posted on Facebook, a photo of a French bulldog like the one Carrie Fisher had with the caption “I’ll be waiting right here mommy” It made me burst out crying.
The news played a clip of an interview David Muir did with her and some of the shots had the dog sitting on the chair with her.
Boss Hogg says thank you. It is a sad day to lose such a talent.
Been a tough year all right… here’s another vid to help cheer people up:
Ok, one more:
Get this thing OUTTA here! Go for it, little bird. I’m always amazed at what our resources end up getting used for.
