Five minutes and twenty seconds?! And I have to wait until I get home to watch…that’s gonna be at least four hours!!! Why, Mike?
So sweet it made my teeth hurt. Some of them took to it like, umm, ducks to water. Others, not so much.
So. Many. PUPPIES! I envy all those humans and I don’t even like to swim!
That’s my idea of a perfect pool party. Sit in the shallow end wearing my clothes to catch swimming puppies. Float a tray of canapés my way and I’m totally in.
A nice chilled white wine, and I’m in, too.
I don’t need food or wine to be in, and I haven’t even seen the video yet.
I will step up and eat Allein’s food and drink Allein’s wine at the puppy pool party. I’m good like that.
Yeah, I found myself encouraging Green Boy, but hopefully in a less annoying way!
You are a saint, Birdcage! 😀
Well, since I don’t drink wine, you are welcome to it.
Somebody’s got to do it!
I had to watch to the end (despite the rather annoying “puppy puppy puppy” *kissy noise* chant) just to see if Green Boy made it in. I also am a big fan of the name Hedy Lamar for a little puppy!
It’s Hedley! Hedley LaMarr!
What are you worried about? This is 1874…you’ll be able to sue her!
Yeah, I found myself encouraging Green Boy, but hopefully in a less annoying way!
I melted into such a big puddle, puppies could swim in me.
Speakers down for this one – sorry for being evil.
…sounds like this is one of those times I should be glad my speakers are busted…? 😀
definitely one of those: it is like motherese language to puppies (pupperese?)
I reluctantly kept the volume up just to hear the puppy squeaks, but the puppy-kissy-chant drove me nuts. Adorable puppies…especially Green Boy.
Didn’t mind the “puppy, puppy, kiss kiss” sounds. It was the cell phone buzz that made me freeze. Had to stop the video so I could find the phone I was sure was lost on my desk – but as soon as I stopped the video, the phone stopped buzzing. Hmmm. Even after I figured it out, it was hard to listen to without reacting.
I’m like that about cell phones and alarm clocks on TV.
I though five minutes twenty seconds is too long, I’ll just watch for a minute or two but I couldn’t stop watching util Green Boy finally jumped in and I also stoped the video to check what was buzzing in my house.
Hedy Lamarr is one of my favorite people, gorgeous woman, film star and a brilliant inventor.
Yes – after watching it, 5:20 seems like just a good start. Go, Green Boy! I love when his sibs line up next to him, and Yellow Ribbon swims up to encourage him.
I am quitting university courses and becoming a puppy swim instructor.
And, yes, Deb G, I will take to it like a duck takes to water.
I just hope the water is not cold. Ducks don’t like goose bumps!
Don’t worry, I hear it rolls right off your back…
Snerk
I can see all of us rooting each little one on as it wasn’t sure that it wanted to try this ‘wet’ thingy some of the other puppies were in. So fascinating how the ones who just jumped in knew exactly how to make those little legs go and swim for its life. But each got SOOO brave (especially Green boy) that I YAY’ed for him when he finally took off. Where can we sign up to join that group??? That would be the best therapy if your day hasn’t been going smoothly. Real easy to forget your cares when you’re romping with these sweet babies!!
Amazing how they just know. I don’t think Pablo ever went swimming, but if you held him over water he’d start paddling the air…even if it was just a couple inches in the kitchen sink.
Our miniature Schnauzer we had when I was a kid knew how to paddle, but she could never manage to stay afloat. She’d paddle-paddle-paddle and sink-sink-sink. Lucky for her, we had an aboveground pool so there was no danger of her falling in accidentally.
LOL, my former boss had a Jack Russell Terrier just like your Schnauzer – she’d leap off their little dock and sink like a stone.
Every. Single. Time. She lived to a ripe old age, but I don’t know how!
She didn’t sink straight down…she’d move forward while going down at the same time. She seemed to like swimming, though. We just had to keep a hand under her belly.
Ages ago we had a Newfoundland, a water rescue dog breed. He had no training in that area at all. We were with some people at a lake that had training knowledge when he was about a year old. I went in deep enough that I could still stand, but he wouldn’t be able to reach. I started splashing and manking scared distressed noises. He swam out to me. Went around me. I grabbed onto his tail, they are thick and strong, meant for pulling. He pulled me in. Exactly what he was supposed to do.
It is truly amazing what they just know!
‘k, I’m home. ‘n I’m ded. G’nite.
Worth the wait!
I had a really rough day at work (potentially huge screwup, fixed but I still feel bad) and these little ones were exactly what I needed. Perfect timing.
Of course now I really want to swim with puppies. I know where I can swim, but pups not allowed. 🙁
Go go for a swim Rachel, it will help with the work stuff. We all screw up and it was fixed. Go for a swim and let your mind and body process, work through the day and then rest.
Like Gigi, I thought 5:20 was too long, and I’d just watch a couple minutes.? When it suddenly ended I was like, WAIT, it’s done already?! This should definately be offered as therapy in every workplace. Along with a kitten petting room! ?
Floating ears, people! FLOATING EARS!!
Oh, and the chubby little tails!
All that fur has to be murder on the filter .. hehe
