Dear Valentine: Nothing will tear us apart
I knew we were meant to be right from the start
And today, the world looks like a true work of art
Because everything I see is shaped into a heart!

I’m usually a Valentine’s curmudgeon but those top two kitties with their heart-tails and sweet faces have melted me.
“Valentines” come in many forms. Fur covered, chocolate covered, a good neighbor or friend, a mom or sister or even (and maybe especially) a random act of kindness given or received! Here’s one now!….Allein, love your posts…your humor and compassion sometimes make my day! xxoo
Aw, thanks! 🙂
What Dulcie said.
The caption on the first pic reminded me of something I witnessed while renting a bedroom from a friend and his girlfriend. The house had a galley kitchen laid out so you couldn’t open the fridge and the oven at the same time. Friend was at the fridge, and his girlfriend tried to hip-check him out of the way so she could keep stirring the pot on the stove. This sparked a butt-fencing war, which devolved rapidly into just rubbing butts together for no reason.
This is the point where they noticed I’d walked into the room. My friend looked at me sheepishly and said “love can be weird.”
The statement had a sort of striking profundity. I’ve learned it has a great deal of wisdom. But mostly I was just awestruck by their matching Ninja Turtles pajama pants.
I had a kitchen like that. It also had one whole drawer…and a dishwasher.
I wish I had a kitchen like that: small, cozy, with a bf at the fridge 🙂
My current kitchen has a slightly better layout (I can open the fridge and the oven at the same time and I have more than one drawer), but unfortunately it did not come with a guy. (There’s one I want at the bookstore, but I haven’t really even seen him since New Years. 🙁 )
My current kitchen has no appliances, no drawers, no cupboards, no sink and no plaster on the walls. Hopefully the builders will be back tomorrow to remedy the situation, because after two days of this I’m sick of living in the middle ages.
Yikes!
I lived for 2 and a half weeks at my parents’ house with no stove while I was catsitting. It died about a week before they left and they didn’t have time to get it fixed. (Of course, I could always go home if I really needed a stove, but I pretty much made do with the microwave and the oven. And some take-out.
I replaced the stove and fridge when I moved in (actually, the previous owner took the fridge, and I figured I’d replace the ugly old stove since I had to buy a fridge anyway). Wish I could replace the cabinets but I really can’t justify that expense.
I have some kitchen renovation planned for this year, I have looked at the drawings twice, no bf there either. 🙂
I had a kitchen where if you leaned over to set the TINY table you could burn your butt on the stove.
The apartment description said “eat in kitchen”; there was a ceiling light fixture over the corner of the living room next to the kitchen wall. I guess they were considering that part of the kitchen. My mom crossed out “in” on the paper and wrote “near” instead. ;-P
BFB, that’s a wonderful story. Nothing says love like Ninja Turtles, or matching clothes.
Love all the curled-up cuties in these pics. Kitten eyes are the most expressive eyes ever.
Happy “V” Day Ladies ..
Sounds…wet.
I’d do anything for a manatee hug.
I’m with you, Debg!
Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone – if you’re w/o a significant other, just love yourself – remember, you’re worth it!
