Here’s the perfect one-of-a-kind gift for the giant fur-shedding rabbit on your gift list: A hand-made replica of your bunny fashioned out of its own fur. Just send $49.99, a recent photograph, and at least three pounds of fur to: Repli-Rabbit, P.O. Box 1313, Cutetropolis. (Note: Not suitable for voodoo applications.)
This big bruiser is Chapp, found by Murray C.
Do they make an animatronic version with a twitchable nose?
Chapp is one cute, snuggly looking bunneh. Love the leetle mini- me next to him. When buns shed, one can almost get enough fur to make another bunneh or turn the fur into yarn, for the more industrious, crafty type.
I . . . I . . , i think Chapp approves!
Needlefelting is such an exquisite art. Good felters can make fantastic, character-filled critters.
Chapp: “Is this me? It smells like me!”
Perfect hind-foot splayage on both the original and the clone.
Hey peeps, I apologize for the tread jack but I’m still sick as a dog since Wednesday and I can hardly swallow and as the cherry on top I had to take my husband to the ER last night with another kidney stone and I’m still waiting for news. So whatever good thought you can send my way would be much appreciated, thank you.
Oh dear, I’m sorry to hear that! Sending lots of healthy vibes to you and Mr. Gigi.
Gigi the cat lady, sounds like you need the ER too. I presume you have the flu or some respiratory bug. Hope your hubby passes his stone, I know they can be very painful. Sounds like you both need some extra Cutetropolis, as a helpful cure, to put smiles on your faces.
Golly, Gigi! Sending as much good juju your way as you can stand.
If you are really having trouble swallowing you should get some medical advice. That’s very serious. I hope your husband passes the stone with as little pain as possible.
Gigi, good vibes coming your way from Colorado, from me and all 7 cats. Hope you and hubby are both feeling better soon.
I’m sorry to hear of your health troubles. Sending lots of positive healing thoughts for you and your husband, Gigi!
Oh I’ve had kidney stones so I know! Awful! Even doctors call it pain and not that infuriating word “discomfort” that they like to use. And your misery sounds awful too. I’m with Ricky’s Mom – not being able to swallow could be something bad. Take care of yourself too.
Me and the cats send a big hug and lots of healing purrs!
“Hardly swallow” sounds like evil strep throat! Get thee to the doc stat! Best wishes for recovery for both of you!
I love the butt-skirt when Chapp is eating from the bowl.
Gigi, our very best, warm, fuzzy thoughts and hugs are being sent your way.
Looks like he’s sitting on a little rug!
I call that “the bunny-butt dust ruffle”!?
😀
Love it!
I keed, I joke, but apparently crafting with pet hair is a real thing:
Yes, I have the book called Crafting with Cat Hair, which I think you’ve posted about before. When I first started spinning yarn, it was the cool thing to spin with dog hair. There are still crafters on Etsy who will custom-spin yarn from clients’ dogs’ hair.
I can only imagine what the sweaters would smell like in the rain! (eau du Wet Dog?)
Exactly! We wouldn’t need to buy Odorant as in Monsters, Inc.
Everybody asks about cat hair yarn; apparently it keeps shedding even after it’s knitted/crocheted/woven.
Normally crafting with pet hair gives me pause (and major side eye…) but this is super cute. I would want a mini-kitties of my little shedding monsters too.
This bunny was almost certainly made with wool, not rabbit fur. Wool fibers have qualities that lend themselves to needlefelting; I don’t know about bunny hairs.
After my darling little treasure Dr.Acula crossed the rainbow bridge, I ordered a custom felt creature that looks just like her! It’s not made out of her fur, but it’s now one of my most prized possessions. It sits on a shelf with other mementos and pics of Drac – my crazy cat lady shrine.
