And finally: Dry Run
For these ferrets, bath time is just half the fun. The other half involves drying their wet, wiggly bodies on conveniently placed bath towels.
The “brother” kitty has three little dots on his nose! I can’t tell whether it looks more like Mickey Mouse, Linzer Augen cookies, or some sort of alien tattoo!
Love the little dots!
Linzer Augen all the way.
Such wiggly, giggly goodness watching those ferrets dry off after bafftime.
The ferrets haven’t got the roll-over feature figured out yet.
I love, love, love David Zinn’s work. I’ve seen his stuff before and have several saved on my computer, but these are new. I did not know they were available as prints, though…seriously considering buying a print of the little bear with balloon (which is titled “Waiting for the Whee”). 🙂 And the waffle iron!! Love it!
The waffle iron is my fave! I like the ‘busker’ mouse with the real pennies too.
I’ve only made it through 2 links so far but had to comment on Leo the street cat. What a smart and determined guy! Reminds me of my Sevi, who was not a street cat (at all) but decided when he was a small kitten that he was coming home with me. He succeeded.
In other cat news, my feral Scorpius has warmed up to petting somewhat! Last night, he gave me slow blinkies while I petted him–first time ever! I’m even allowed to pet his tummy!
Yay for pettings!
I am so happy to hear it. Is he getting along better now with the other members of the cat family?
He is–I think the neutering helped. Before the snipsnip, he would attack somebody else about every 36 hours. The ensuing racket would have everybody (including me) shaking for the next half hour. Now we get an attack maybe once a week, and I intervene quickly so it doesn’t get out of hand.
He’s also spent so much time on the bed, usually with 4 or 5 sibs, that they don’t hiss as much either. Their reaction would usually set off his attacks.
Thanks for your support, everybody. You’ve been with me the whole way with this problem kitty, and I appreciate it. It’s great to report progress!
ooohhh jealous of tummy rubbins.
As an aside to Leo the street cat – I was happy to see that her car was a manual transmission. Save the stick!
I also drive a manual transmission one, is that rare or old fashioned?
It is becoming more and more difficult to find manuals. I think in a lot of cases, it’s now a special order!
Here only very rich people have automatic ones, I have travelled in 2-3 such cars but I have never driven one.
That’s great, DebG – your patience is paying off!
I don’t know why, but the ferrets were so cute I started to cry.
This first link. I want Pixar to turn it into a movie.
