Get ready to open wide and say “d’aww” as Fiona the preemie hippo gets a dental checkup. Although the tusks of a hippo tend to get the most attention, young hippos have thirty two milk teeth, and an adult commonly has thirty six teeth. (Thanks as always to Lois M.)
I still wanna pet that soft big tongue. Even if it has bristles!! I thought we’d seen teefs before but I sure didn’t see any in this up close video. Wonder how old they have to be to cut them. Research project!! 🙂 I love it when I’m first to send in info on Fiona. I look forward to reading Mike’s take on our submissions. Always interesting. Thanks, Mike.

It’s so lovely to see how trusting and happy she is with her caregivers
Gaaaaaahhhhh. Ded.
Why is it that every time I see something about Fiona, I start laughing over the cute joy, and then someone sneaks up behind me and starts cutting onions?
She looks so small and vulnerable here.
I wonder what the Hippo Tooth Fairy will leave her when she loose her milk teeth.
Love it when she closes her eyes – she obviously enjoys the gum massaging.
I wish I looked that cute in the dentist’s chair!
So sweet! I love that there’s as much patting and playing going on as dental examination – it’ll pay off years from now, when she’s the size of a Mini Cooper and knows a checkup isn’t something scary!
Fiona blissfully closing eyes AND wombat fabric!? All in the same day?!
It’s too much…
I can’t…
Oh dear….*clunk*
I’m ded from the too much cute.
