Emee the emu lives with her human Sue and a dog named Molly, whom Emee must love very much, because whenever Molly enters the room… well, just watch.
That bird is absurd, Sara N.

I like the version of this clip where the emulet has little cartoon arms.
Emee might love Molly. Not so sure Molly reciprocates the feeling.
Yeah, I wondered about that too. But Emee’s dance of joy made me squee.
All together now…she’s so happy she could incubate a sprinkler!
I bet that is literally true.
Bingo!
Oh you beat me to it!
Rah! Rah! Rah!
Oh my goodness, at one point I thought “she could try out for Riverdance!”
She must have raised with Molly, she reminded me of a dog when she rolled over and it escalated from there. ?
Loved the end, where she hunkered down and nearly emu-ed Molly!
There’s a farm near me that raises emus. Usually you’ll see a few emus (but you don’t see babies very often) and a bull out in the field. Last week I saw they now have goats!
Yesterday was my cousin’s funeral, and afterward, since I was in town (and since I didn’t feel like going home), I went to my old bookstore to see if a friend was working (only to learn he transferred to another store a couple months ago…guess I haven’t talked to him in a while). On the way there I pass a farm with lots of goats…and there were lots of babies!!
You know what they say, NTMTOM, “Bird is the word!”
So cute…
Emee: Mom! Mom! Mom! Mom!
Molly: Sorry, kid, no…see, I’m a dog and…oh, never mind – who’s my good baby? You are!
Sorry about your cousin Allein. During the rough times it’s a lift just to see animals, especially animal babies.
And DebG that emu dance of joy was totally squee-able.
Thanks; we found out Saturday and somehow it feels like so long ago.
Baby animals (and all the funny folks here) certainly help!
