Intro to Kitten Arranging

The time-honored art of kitten arranging requires patience, and eye for detail, and most of all, patience. The goal is to organize the kittens into a pleasant arrangement, perhaps chromatically or by height, or along more abstract lines, such as alphabetically by favorite Beatle.

We’ve seen this one before, haven’t we? Not that I’m complaining, of course.

That’s okay – the great things in life are worth repeating. And this one ranks right up there near the top–I laugh myself silly every time I see it!

Yes, I adore this video! Not quite sure what the ultimate objective was, but the the incidental result is so adorable and funny!

Summer time is a good time for re-runs! 🙂 I love this one, too!

Someone should make a looping gif…I’d sit and watch that for a while.

I’ve spent quite an irresponsible amount of time watching this one. I have tried (and failed) to track each individual kitten’s trails.

My favorite parts are when one kitten lands on top of another and they’re both looking confused about that circumstance, then the little white one at the end who’s trying to walk off but can’t quite get his back feet under him.

I think this is my favorite re-run! Such adorable little morsels who are gonna go wherever they wanna go. Loved it when 3 are grabbed at once and the white one that tries to swim away.

It’s a tough job, and I’d like to be the one to do it.

That is why impossible to do things are described as trying to herd cats.

    • Emmberrann July 29, 2017 / 5:17 pm

My thought, too, altho these little morsels sure make it look like fun. I think I’d never complete the task because I would be playing with the kittybabies instead of trying to get them to line up for a picture.

This is my favorite kitten video! Each kitten is going to go the way he’s going to and ain’t nothin’ gonna stop them.

Had to know what the eyeglasses shaped box, marked DE-BOK-KADER, in the back with cats printed on it was. I did a translate search and came up with “the box frame” so I’m no wiser. It’s Dutch or German. Any clues?

    • Arne July 29, 2017 / 5:30 pm

No sure if it means anything but it’s the name of the cat-kennel.

Love this video, i see something new and cute each time! Poor little kitty that gets the other plonked on top of them, and the white little kitty that attacks the guys sock lol…..

!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!! WANT to sit on the floor and let the fuzzballs crawl on me….. would love to pet all those soft heads… and the little tails held straight up are adorable.
I never saw this before — the problem with this sort of video is that I get the urge to go to the pet store and grab all the kittens and bring them home – but the residing Queen Fuzzypants would object loudly.

Hi All. There was a follow up video with same guy that I sent to Mike. I’ll try to find it again.

    Love this!

Watch the video on youtube and you’ll see all the other parts in the sidebar.

Part 7 killed me with the meowing.

And part 8…I guess they finally figured out how to contain them…mostly.

Part 9 has an older cat; might be mom. There are at least 11 parts.

      And then there’s this:

The kittens buried under and playing in and with the avalanche of white paper scraps is almost too much – the white kittens in particular are lethally cute. I’m thinking, by law, all kittens should be afforded the opportunity to play with an avalanche of white paper scraps. I volunteer to take a shift providing that play.

        • allein ? July 29, 2017 / 7:51 pm

          Sounds reasonable.

          • ^oo^ July 30, 2017 / 7:19 pm

            That’s one GIANT litter box

      • Faye July 29, 2017 / 9:24 pm

Wood flooring + cut paper + kitties + Annie Lennox = purrfect physics experiment. Outcome: tails up!

      Faye:

I got that video and I’m going to use it in a post at some point, but feel free to post it here too.

That’s it. The one with the paper! Looking forward to your post Mike.

Take a group portrait, she said. It’ll be so cute, she said. All you have to do is line them up and then take the photo. Three hours later …

Actually I guess in three hours they’d have all fallen asleep. And that would be the only way to take a group portrait of this group. But they’d all have to be asleep at the same time, and you’d have to line them up without waking any of them, or the one awake would wake the others. Nope, that won’t work either.

The only way is to take individual pictures and then photoshop them.

The hoomin is struggling because she’s doing it wrong. The proper technique is to lie on the floor. Immediately, all kittens will climb aboard the hoomin for a long, cozy snuggle.

The Law Of Kitten Attraction! If you lie down they will come!

It’s like Sisyphus, but only the task is much more adorable.
