Love nips from a lynx are probably more painful than said nips from a kitty. But then he kissed daddy and made it all better! I’m melting here.
I would pay A LOT of money to be able to do that.
Me, too! I found this video on YouTube explaining Max’s situation. We may never get to pet him, but we can visit!
I’m really glad he was saved, but so sad for him and the other big cats that they can’t live the lives they were born for. I like to think that the affection and medical care they get makes up for it somewhat.
I really do believe it makes up for it. It’s kind of like with kids– some are raised with a lot of freedom (fun!) and others (like my students) are raised with music lessons and math tutors– not fun, but ultimately conducive to a more financially comfortable life. Sometimes I feel sorry for zoo animals and busy kids, but at the end of the day, there is more than one type of good life. We all get something different, but most of us get something worth having.
Will you look at the size of those feet!
I loved the “I’m seriously not done with you loving on my face!”
Adorable.
Is that guy holding the camera in his right side prosthetic arm?
Just kidding. The love bites and licking are obviously done out of love. You could sand wood with that tongue though.
It’s so funny that the behavior of this BIG kitty is so similar to that of my little kitty.. I get the same love bites if I stop petting and rubbing her head and ears before SHE decides she’s had enough. 😀
Mom, mom, mom – hey mom! Can we please get one?? Huh? Puh-leeeeze???
You know it’s a big kitty when your hand can fit in the space on top of the head between the ears.
“Here, kitty kitty!” Said in a voice like James Earl Jones.
LOL, I’m getting an ad for cat litter – yes, I’ll take one pallet-load, please!
Oh, lovely! Not that Max is in captivity, of course, but that we’ll be able to visit him when we go tour Big Cat Rescue after the weather cools down. So November or December, thereabouts, if this roasting weather continues as long as it has in our previous one Tampa winter…anyway, I’ll say hi to Max from all the Cutropolitans!
That sounds awesome – you can be our first Ambassador!
Speaking of big kitties, but off topic. Has anyone else noticed the flood of Maru (and Hana) videos that have been put out over the last week or so? Even two a day. At first I was ecstatic but now I’m worried that maybe something is wrong. It’s completely out of the ordinary. Really hope I’m just being paranoid for nothing.
